Extremely pleased.
This was one of the best overnight stays my sisters and I have had. We were traveling all day. The front reception person was wonderful and made us feel right at home. The room was very clean. The attached lounge and supper club was a welcome relief after driving all day. The meal was outstanding as was the free breakfast buffet we had the next morning.Every employee went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. We highly recommend the Voyageur Inn and will be visiting again.

We checked in and the lady was very nice & later on we realized the bathroom tub was dirty and went downstairs and the receptionist was nothing but nice to us she was very sweet and nice!

The room floor needed vacuuming. The bedding was dirty.The pool needs to be fixed and updated. There were open electrical boxes and rusty railing in the pool area.

Thank you for your review Heidi. We're sorry your experience was less than favorable. We have, and are, working on improvements to the facility ALL around with significant focus on the pool/hot tub area. There has been ventilation issues previously which led to rusting unfortunately, and it is being fixed. (railings have already been fixed). As far as "open electrical boxes"? I have no idea what you're referring too as this has never been, or is, the case. Hopefully you will try us again in the future as we will continue to expedite additional improvements.

We have stayed at the Voyageur a number of times over the last 5 years. The staff is friendly. Nothing fancy but the rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast included is very good. The attached supper club offers good food and drinks at reasonable prices. It was good to see Marty, the owner, and get to talk to him. He has had some health issues, but remains an interesting person to talk to. The best to you Marty!!

Thinking of visiting the Dells? Stay at this hotel and save. Super friendly people, free breakfast, decent rooms, and pool and hot tub. 15 minute drive to dells and just get day passes. Highly recommend.

Hidden gem
Great hotel. This place is retro and still has keys to open the doors, and is well kept and attached to a steakhouse. The guy working at the front desk was very polite and accommodating.

Despite living in the area for over 35 years, I had never been in there. Decided to check it out over New Year's weekend. It was relatively quite. They have furniture throughout the lobby and restaurant area listed for sale, $40 a chair, $60 per couch, something I'd never seen before. And these aren't just cheap uncomfortable chairs and sofas either. And if you're a Norman Rockwell fan, they have a lot of his artwork and pages featuring his artwork just off the lobby to look at. The pool area isn't huge, but it was relatively relaxing, though the concrete around the pool could use some fixing up. That was really my only complaint my whole stay, that the hotel building is kind of outdated. It has been around since the 1970s, and while some aspects have kept up with the times, the building itself seems to stay in the past. I would definitely stay there again sometime.

This is an outdated hotel that is comfortable and cozy. The staff is great and the breakfast was great also. The only issue was the mold all over the walls and ceiling in the pool area.

This place should be condemned for the poor indoor air quality. The pool area has poor ventilation and is very hot and smells like chlorine. There’s carpeting in the hall next to the pool smells very musty and moldy. The workout room is in a basement with a bunch of dehumidifiers running smells like nothing but mold, mildew and Dust. The whole place is a hodgepodge of hallways. The end of my hallway where my room was smelled like urine. The wallpaper is coming off in the hallway and was taped back on. Obviously the owner of this property has no money for updates. The only thing good about this place is they give you a full breakfast in the little restaurant with a nice waitress. I guess they don’t expect you to have suitcases because when you open the doors to the lobby to go into the place that has several stairs. The room was interesting. They had a board holding up the TV on top of a chest of drawers. They had one blue washcloth among all the white towels. The mattress felt like a box springs very hard. And they’re still using keys for their doors which is very unsafe
