We were here for the peak of the Perseid meteor shower and it was an amazing place to lay outside and stargaze. Lots of hiking trails nearby. Kids built a little snowman and went sledding on back of property. Proximity to Beaver Meadows for tubing and ice skating was a big plus. The house was great. Excellent layout and very comfortable for making dinner, doing puzzles and playing cards. We plan on a repeat visit. ##### Brent C. It’s a comfy house even though it is older and not updated. Nice feeling of privacy with deer outside in the wooded area. Furniture and beds very comfortable. Needs a good deep clean of cobwebs and clearing out old scratched Teflon pans. Dishwasher not working during our stay - perhaps that has been fixed. Overall it was a nice stay. ##### Molly S. Also i feel that it should be stated that there cant be a fire. The hosts were able to communicate easily so that was helpful. There was also only 2 trash bags. So it was hard to take the trash out. We also found trash from previous stays... land is pretty and area is peaceful. Overall it was a good stay. ##### melanie t. Although the property is a bit dated, it was charming. We particularly liked that the bedrooms were on opposite sides of the house, and we enjoyed time in the den and in front of the fireplace. The property is in a secluded and quiet area. Our only issue was with the kitchen. I had to clean a previous food spill out of the refrigerator, as well as dirt in the top of the oven, dishwasher, and the drawer at the sink. It would be very helpful if a complete, matching set of flatware was provided in the kitchen, especially since we weee there for Thanksgiving. These issues are easy fixes, and since the hosts are very responsive, I’m sure this will change. I would still recommend Black Bear Hollow and consider returning to this property. ##### Janice M. Short drive to Town For Groceries. Feeling of privacy, and great views from the road and trails nearby.
