Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island

"An excellent hotel but minor things let it down which shouldn’t be the case for a Movenpick. Otherwise it would be 5*. Some drain smells in parts of the hotel and the all inclusive cocktails also aren’t to standard. Mini golf (mega mini) is not worth it as an added paid for service. Also no options to choose movenpick icecreams as part of package (only in buffet and ordered by the cup vanilla/chocolate or strawberry) during set times. Otherwise the hotel and staff are superb. From concierge, valet car services, f&b services and housekeeping. Kids and teens club were fab too. Our all inclusive package had no upgrade options and eating a buffet in the same place 3 times a day is a bit of a pain. But food quality is good. Just a choice of a restaurant would have been better if there was an option."

"We appreciated the big rooms, and the beach. The hotel has some great dining inside, especially the karma café. All our interactions with the staff were top notch and everyone treated us with kindness and always tried to be helpful. Special mention to Kent from the front desk. It is a family oriented property which means it is not really the best choice to have some rest stay or some romantic getaway, as there are kids everywhere. The only bad point i would put to this hotel is that there are a lot of works around it (some new developments) so there are a lot of heavy trucks driving around and it can be a little noisy."

"Overall our stay was great with the following exceptions: - the teen club does not open till 1pm, which is inconvenient because the kids club is open at 10 am, you find yourself having to wait if you have multiple children - the rooms are prone to ants crawling about, we set our water bottle down and within 10 minutes there were ants flocking to the condensation -the selection of drinks were limited depending on which area you went to"
