Beautiful location that worked great for our stay in Rapid City. The weather was perfect and we were able to enjoy walking around the trails and ride bike around the city. Back yard was perfect for the two dogs. Interior of the cabin was clean and comfortable.
This was a wonderful place to land after a long drive. The location was perfect. Easy check-in and check out. Having a fenced backyard was a plus. We had all we needed for a comfortable cozy stay and would definitely stay again if we are ever back to the area. Loved it!
Host was excellent responding to any questions we had. The cabin was clean and well stocked. Our two dogs loved having a fenced in yard and we loved the covered patio and grill. Location was great, we had dear around us daily and the lake, creek and park were all within walking distance and beautiful!
The property was perfect for us and our furbabies. They truly loved the fenced back yard and I swear they played out there more than they do in their own backyard. We will be back!!
Great cabin. Just as we expected bases on the great listing details. Nice location. Host was fantastic woth communication. Would recommend and stay here again!
Location of home is a very nice neighborhood with trails starting right across the street. A short walk down the road leads to Canyon Lake/Creek which was a beautiful area. We loved our time exploring the Black Hills each day, so much to do & so much beauty in the area. We really appreciated bringing our dog with. Chad & Tara are very quick to respond if you need anything. Cabin is cute and worked good for my husband, myself and our dog. Thank you, we appreciated our stay!
For us all we needed was a clean, reputable place that accommodated our family of 3 and 2 dogs. It went above and beyond that. The hosts were very attentive and responsive to our needs and questions. The cabin was exactly as we had hoped it to be. We recommend it to any and all who seek a base camp with everything you need.
We had a wonderful time in your beautiful cabin. The accommodations were perfect. It was nice to come home after a long day of exploring to sit and relax with our dogs! There is so much to see, we would love to come back again!
We enjoyed our stay at the intown cabin very much. Fenced yard is a plus. Trails and walking access are awesome. Property manager super fast to respond. We definately recommend!
We loved our stay!! The location was amazing, so many people walking and biking on the near paths, we walked our dogs down to the lake / river for some exploring and they loved it. We particularly loved being right in the middle of both Wind Cave and Badlands National Parks as that was one of our main reasons for visiting South Dakota. It was also very quick and easy to get to food and stores as needed. The house itself was comfortable and had everything we needed. Despite being right off the road with a lot of foot traffic too even being in the backyard felt very quiet and private (even in 4th of July!!). I would stay again and absolutely recommend
We visit the BH often and have selected different locations throughout the region. This was a short trip for a long weekend so we wanted to be closer to RC for convenience. We couldn't ask more for the property, it's cozy, easy to get to anything we needed in RC and beyond. Being in late December the hosts were kind enough to have the fireplace going for us upon arrival too. This will be one of our primary go-to spots again and again.
We found the home to be at a very convenient location. It was a 2-3 minute walk from a beautiful park with a pond and large stream. It was also a quick drive to downtown. It was quaint and met our needs as a family of five. The owners are quick to answer any questions.
Base Camp best description. Everything you need but lacked a few luxury items like a dishwasher, end tables, etc. Overall though a great location accessible to area and a great neighborhood.
We were in town for Mines Parents' Weekend and this cabin was perfect! My husband enjoyed some fishing right down the street. We were able to move around town easily and quickly. We were close enough to everything we needed and wanted to do!
Thank you, again!
This cabin had everything we needed. It was a great location, perfect for seeing all of the popular places in the black hills. The walk to the lake was short and easy! The only thing I would recommend a new mattress for the loft in the near future. The other beds were very comfortable and the house was very clean!
This was the perfect place to stay if you intend to explore the Black Hills of South Dakota. Everything was within a 1 to 2 hour drive for us. Accommodations were great. Owner was very responsive. Neighborhood was clean and bustling with runners and dog walkers. Park around the corner was perfect for an evening stroll after sightseeing. This is a great place. Don’t miss the opportunity to stay here!
The location is central and perfect to all directions of sites to see, making it 30 minutes to an hour any direction, including the airport. It’s close to all amenities in Rapid City. The cabin has had a lot of renovating, yet keeping the cute nostalgic look. Pros would include a lovely front yard view, in-house washer/dryer, microwave, refrigerator, oven, coffeemaker, A/C in one bedroom and kitchen area, TV, BBQ with a small lovely patio with furniture, fenced in grass area for dogs. Cons would include no A/C in the second bedroom, creaking floor in the bathroom, and a shortage of outlets throughout the cabin. (Needed for charging purposes) We enjoyed our 10 day stay, walking along Canyon Lake and enjoying our ice cream in the evenings. It was in the 90 temps during our visit. Warmer than expected but pleasant in the evenings.
We had an amazing time staying at the Black Hills Basecamp! The property is complete with all of the essentials that you and your Dogs need (Very nice fenced in yard to keep the Pups Safe). The walking trails that run along the Stream/Pond are so Beautiful and peaceful for an evening walk after a long day of sight seeing. It was fun to see the Mule Deer walking through the Neighborhood when you walk out the front door. All of the Major attraction are within an hour drive or less. The Hosts are very nice and super responsive if you have any Questions during your stay. 10/10 Recommend this place to enjoy your Rapid City/Black Hills Vacation!!
We enjoyed our stay at this unit near the Black Hills. It is in Rapid City, close to many restaurants and grocery stores, about 10-15 minutes from many of the major local attractions, and about 30 minutes from Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, and other Black Hills draws.
It was extremely hot during our stay, and the AC units worked pretty well to keep the bedrooms and common areas cool and comfortable. The unit is cozy, and the loft area worked OK for our 6 & 8 year olds to sleep, but it is up a steep ladder within one of the bedrooms.
We didn't cook a lot in the unit, but it did have a good stock of kitchen wares.
The bathroom is also cozy but had a good shower and washer/dryer built-in, which we appreciated.
Access was easy and the hosts were great at communicating. The unit was a very good value during peak season and right before the Sturgis rally!
