Great base camp for visiting the Black Hills or Monument Health. Quiet neighborhood with restaurants and stores nearby, 1 mile south of downtown Rapid City. Includes laundry in basement, front porch, back deck with grill. Front porch is in disrepair, water and ice do not function on the refrigerator. Ceiling fans/lights worked, but pull strings didn’t allow for easy operation. Laundry was a plus, however, the basement has a significant water issue that we were not made aware off. Had to squeegee the floor to gain access to the washer and dryer. Should probably have this fixed before allowing any more guests. The room “under construction please stay out” raised a few red flags especially give the water issue. It’s a great base to explore the Black Hills region. We had 3 adults. The king size bed was good. The mattress on the twin was ok, but the springs could be felt on through the mattress on the trundle. One in our group ended up sleeping on the sofa. While the description says newly furnished, the furnishings definitely aren’t new from the store. The kitchen was fairly well equipped and we were able to prepare basic meals.
