Visited Graceland Randers in Denmark, Elvis Prestley museum I wish my Mom was here she love Elvis so much☺
The blue bridge is built in 1900 as a railway bridge. It is now a footpath and painted in a lovely blue colour that shines beautifully in the golden hour

Close encounters with exotic animals, fishing in the Gudenå river and sailing on the fjord – all part of a trip to Randers. But of course there’s also shopping, fascinating museums and a little bit of The King’s own rock and roll.

You don’t have to travel far to visit the exotic fauna and flora of the rainforest. A trip to Randers Tropical Zoo will do it! Spend a weekend break or a full holiday exploring the best of Denmark’s countryside, its fascinating art by leading artists at Randers Museum of Art, plus a unique musical experience.

Randers dates right back to around the year 1000, but traces of Viking settlements have also been found. Even though the town walls have long since disappeared, the street names are still reminders of its Medieval past. Thanks to the excellent waterways provided by the Gudenå and Randers Fjord, Randers has always been a prominent commercial hub.

The scenic location and surrounding countryside are ideal for open-air activities, including salmon fishing in the Gudenå, Denmark's longest river. Kayak and canoe rentals are available for exploring the river and fjord. Getting to Randers by road is easy, with a direct motorway connection. There are also excellent rail links to the town as intercity trains stop here.

If travelling with the kids, don’t miss out on a day in the three domes that house Randers Tropical Zoo. Each dome represents a different continent, with a constant tropical temperature and air humidity for the animals. Where else can you see free-flying bats, a sloth, piranha fish swimming around and jaguars in spacious open air pens? The gigantic Djurs Sommerland amusement park offers world-class rides and out-of-the-way corners for picnics during the summers.

Go shopping in the pedestrian streets or in Randers Storcenter, followed by a relaxing cup of coffee at a café. Plan an evening with a good dinner and a show at Værket, or savour the unique experience of Graceland Randers, complete with a diner serving the food of The King. The faithful replica of Elvis' home in Memphis is reason enough to visit the house, but the impressive collection of Elvis memorabilia in the museum is truly unique.

Randers is perfect if you are seeking a holiday venue with everything – entertainment, scenery and child-friendly activities. No matter what time of year you visit, you're bound to enjoy an incomparable holiday.
