The cabin was perfect for a couples getaway. The kitchen amenities were sufficient, ice trays filled and ready, firewood piled up as well. The property is beautiful and secluded. We loved saying hi to the donkeys and watch the deer. Just a few miles from all of the fun activities Glen Rose has to offer. Kay was also wonderful at communicating with us.
Awesome location and clean cabin with an amazing view. Several friendly dogs and other animals, as well as a swing set and trampoline were an added bonus. It does have a pretty steep, gravel road to get up the hill to the cabin.
We had a great stay. Beautiful cabin and beautiful location. Plenty of great attractions within short driving distance. We loved that we were able to bring our dog. The owners were very friendly. Highly recommended.
Our family went for a Father’s Day weekend getaway and thoroughly enjoyed our cabin and the Brazos House Retreat property. We had such an enjoyable visit that we decided to make this an annual event. The view is stunning, that swings were fantastic, and we made good use of the fire pit and the wood provided.
Would highly recommend this cabin for anyone wanting to relax and enjoy the quiet. The cabin was very clean and well furnished. The porch was wonderful to enjoy evening relaxing and morning coffee. Wildlife was plentiful. The host was wonderful!
This was a beautiful peaceful property in the country but close enough to city Glen Rose our dog had a blast there dogs very friendly got along great with mine will defiantly come back
We enjoyed staying in this cabin. Location was secluded and it was quiet. That way exactly what we were looking for. Would stay there again.

Just like a tiny home it has everything you need. Enjoying the quiet and you can enjoy just staying here and cook out. We enjoyed our stay so much that we already want to come back. The owners are very nice and welcoming as well.
We had a wonderful stay.
We were able to bring our Aussiedoodle, Pepper, who is a member of the family. That is what sealed the deal for our stayed, and are we glad!
The property is so beautiful, and peaceful, with fantastic views, and places to rest and relax.
We highly reccomend Brazos House Retreat.
Great stay at Valley View. Excellent communication from host. Cabin had all the necessary amenities and was comfortable for our party of 4 (1 adult/3 kids).
Reserved for a long weekend getaway and it was perfect! Location was easy to get to and only 15-20 minute drive from neighboring cities. Spent time at the Brazos River , drove to downtown Glen Rose for dinner at Blackies, visited Big Rocks and enjoyed evenings in a quiet countryside. Stan brought us fresh eggs and even drove us to see some exotic animals!
My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was so peaceful, none of us wanted to leave!
If you do choose this beautiful cabin to stay, just watch for scorpions! I walked back into the bedroom just in time before a scorpion walked onto my toddlers foot while he was sleeping, then found 2 more throughout the house. Country living at its finest! We had a blast and can't wait to stay again.
The cabin was clean and had everything we needed and it was fairly priced. We had a few surprises, but overall the stay was good. The couch was not the same couch that was in the photo, so it was a little smaller than we expected, but my teen slept fine on it. I didn’t realize another cabin was going to be right next to us so had we stayed on the property all day that might have been a little too close.
It's a small cabin, but the layout maximizes the space. It was clean, inviting, warm, and well maintained. The property owner was responsive. We enjoyed the property, including feeding the animals in the pasture. It's worth noting the twin bed listed in the living room is a couch, but it worked for us.
Loved the landscape with great privacy. The cabin had everything you needed for the stay. Great climate control both for cold and warm days. Stan was great and loved Bo the dog. Glen Rose was a friendly place with good places to eat. Caution most restaurants closed by 3:00 pm.
The area definitely embraces that this was an area where dinosaurs walked. Hope to visit again.
Thank you for having us.
