I picked this hotel because it was near the train station and had high ratings from Expedia users. I was delighted with the experience. From the moment I arrived the hotel staff was clearly interested in making it a great stay for me in Valladolid. From bringing me extra Kleenex to opening the bar so I could have a bite to eat to giving me advice on things I should see in town, the staff went above and beyond. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. There was an espresso maker so I could have coffee in the morning and the cleaning staff always make sure my room was ready by the time I came back from my sightseeing. Being within walking distance of the train station – – less than five minutes away – – was a big plus. I did several excursions to nearby towns, like Leon, so it was nice to have a quick walk back to the hotel at the end of the day. I would definitely recommend the Plaza Colon!
