If you’re driving, it’s best to take it slow, and ideally use a rental car you don’t mind putting through rough terrain. During our stay, we ran into a few issues with the staff, mainly around excursions being booked incorrectly and some basic questions not being answered clearly. While this was a bit frustrating, the stay itself was still pleasant overall. Food at the hotel felt somewhat overpriced for what you get. I’d recommend eating at nearby sodas instead, where the food is generally better and more reasonably priced. Overall, the hotel was solid for the price. The main downside was the service, which could benefit from being more professional and organized. With improvements in that area, the experience would be much better." The path to each bungalow is well maintained and gives a real jungle feel. David at the front desk greeted us at check in and made us feel welcome. The free breakfast was also delicious. The air conditioning worked well and cooled down the room nicely. A few comments: -Not worth it to get the room with the private outdoor jacuzzi. There is no cover on it so within a day there was rainwater and leaves in it. Also, they only allow one towel per person so we couldn’t get any extra clean towels to use with it. Very disappointed in that- they expect you to take a shower and use a dirty towel from the jacuzzi? Because of those things, we never ended up using it. -It truly feels like upscale camping because you can hear the cicadas and other animals quite loudly in the room. The sound of the rain was the worst. It is VERY loud inside the room so if it started raining hard (which it often does), it woke us up. If you like a more traditional hotel feel this may not be the place for you!"
