Overall, I had a good stay! I really appreciated how flexible the host was with my check-in time, and the loft was very clean when I arrived. The kitchen was also well equipped with most of the tools you’d need if you wanted to cook during your stay. The location was convenient too — it’s close to a bus stop, a supermarket, and Rue Saint-Jean, which is a really nice area to walk around with lots of shops, cafés and restaurants. A couple of small things to note: the bathroom only had a 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner, which personally isn’t my preference, so I’d recommend bringing your own. There are also quite a few unhoused people in the surrounding neighbourhood. I personally didn’t feel unsafe during my stay, but it’s something some travellers may want to be aware of, especially when walking around later in the day.

The property was spacious & had everything we needed! We received a link for online checkin a day before the stay & a code for building access after that. There are quite a lot of restaurants & a supermarket nearby. Transit to Old Quebec was just within 10 mins (4-5 stops by bus) so the location is very convenient. Everything was great! We will choose to stay here again next time when we visit Quebec city again.

Complicated visit. Facility was very nice and location was very handy. As others have noted the area has a very high level of unhoused folks due to a soup kitchen directly across the street - this resulted in some level of street activity we would have preferred not to experience but it was not in fact threatening or actively dangerous, just not desired. There were excellent restaurants immediately nearby. Encountered some difficulty working with customer service due to our mutual lack of French and English. We did not initially receive the paid for QR code for parking. Took a lot of effort to resolve this though the local CS staff at Lofts tried very hard. The last issue that was difficult - the next to last day of our visit we were notified we would be experience a shutdown of electrical service from 8:15 to 4:30 and would not have elevator service. Power went out at 8:15 and parts of the bldg switched to emergency lighting. By mid afternoon that lighting had died out and the keypads at each room door were dead. Internal venting of air as well as heating or cooling was dead as was wifi and internet. We could not leave the room w/o leaving one of us behind to let us back into the room. Later we learned thru CS that we could access (with some difficulty) a physical key from a lock box which let us into our room, would have been a good chance for CS to be proactive! This lasted until after 8:00 PM! Unacceptable!

Excellent location. Many amenities within walking distance. Clean, bright, spacious and well appointed. Only suggestion would be to install hooks on the bedroom wall similar to the front door to offer a bit more clothing storage.

Staff was very helpful - there was an initial mix-up of the booked rooms and after a little language barrier, things were resolved very quickly. The area appears to be gentrifying; lots of restaurants; walking distance to Gare du Palais (central train station); 20 minute uphill walk to the Old City.
