The door also slams shut. You hear it all. So no morning sleeping! The area is a little sketchy as well. This spot is located very conveniently next to a supermarket and within walking distance to attractions. There is also a great running path along the river. Easy online check-in process. HOWever the entrance door to the building is dangerous like a crocodile designed to keep the street people in the area from getting in. It slams shut at full pressure of 20 lbs. It caught my foot twisting my knee. Day1 of my 5 week vacation from Vancouver I am now on crutches. This door needs to be addressed. I have contacted Quebec City regarding this.
