Excellent location. Great breakfast. Only thing is that there is no elevator, our room was on the fourth floor so it was a little inconvenient to go up and down those stairs.

Great location, great quality price! Needs a little bit more improvement with the cleaning in some areas in the room/bathroom corners and windows, also rooms not soundproofed so maybe bring earplugs but overall great! Will certainly come back:)

Our room was small, but given the good price that I paid, that should have been expected. We really only slept there anyway, and it was located close to everyplace we wanted to be, so a good trade off. Parking is not available onsite, but we used the paid parking garage down the street, less than a two minute walk away. Safe and secure.

It was a good stay, decent room for the price and clean. Hard to see the building and the sign or name of the hotel. No staff in reception you will call them if you have question or anything else. You will check in by yourself, get the key and go to your assign room. They offer breakfast voucher which is good!

I liked this property but please note that Expedia’s directions for check in were wrong. When I was there, check in was done directly inside but Expedia gave another address. That was totally incorrect and confusing. The breakfast at a restaurant next door was really good. Note that the breakfast is free (the hotel gives you a coupon for it when you arrive) but does not include service. Since the wait staff serve you, you should tip even though you don’t pay.

The location was perfect. It was right in the heart of Old Quebec city making it very convenient and walkable to the city center. The breakfast during my stay was included and staff at the hotel restaurant was very accommodating and courteous. The room was small not much amenities but will do. Our view from the window was emergency staircases, it would have been okay but it had old wet boxes that was piled up making it a hazard and an eyesore. The front desk staff could need some touch up with friendliness and maybe look a little less stress and put on a some smile, it's front desk after all.

Wonderful clean room! Only issue was the phone number provided didn't work. I called a few times from the road as I worried we'd be late for check-in, but it didn't work. Luckily a nice person was there to check us in. Beautiful room with very clean bathroom and coffee. We were on first floor beside front door of building, so light sleeper may struggle with the front door opening and closing quite a bit at night and in the morning. But luckily my son slept through it. The restaurant with breakfast looked really nice but very long wait so we ended up leaving to get breakfast elsewhere. I suggest going right when it opens for breakfast. Beautiful room and hotel, perfect location in Old Quebec!! Working phone number and perhaps a different floor (other than beside front building door) would have elevated it further (just because I had my son), but all in all a great location and very comfortable/clean room! Also black-out curtains were fantastic.

Not for elderly or arthritic guests. Doors set to max difficulty to open due to heavy springs . Keys also difficult to turn. Lack of supplies, had 3 burnt light bulbs but no replacements available. Only 1 facecloth available for 2 people over 2 days. Extreme difficulty in finding parking garage. Attendant offered limited assistance and told me to use GPS. Yet entrance was on side street and GpS was useless. Attendant was less than helpful Slippe ry bathtub. No bath mat. Good breakfast next door Good location, unlike picture. Decent bed. Difficult winding staircase Attendant on site in mornings and afternoons only. Would not recommend.

Maison Du General has a great location; walking distance to all the popular tourist spots like Frontenac Hotel, Governor's Promenade, Place de Royal, Parliament Building, and Petit Champlain. My family and I enjoyed the free good breakfast as well.
