The short walk through the countryside into Agonac enabled us not to use transport everyday & the added benefit of the rail station was another plus. "We stayed in pillac with 10 adults from 74 to 34, and 9 children aged between 2 and 18 and what a holiday we had! The house is perfectly set up for family groups as each lot can take a "wing". A really well equipped kitchen enabled us to have wonderful meals at home... meat cooked by the boys and wonderful salads cooked by Barbara's friend. Barbara was super helpful and very easy to contact the whole time. The village was gorgeous but tiny..... about a 10 minute drive for any grocery shopping....

"Stayed for 2 weeks in this lovely apartment- part of a classic French property with a garden and private pool. Although secluded the property is less than 10 minutes drive to Brantome with its many good restaurants and market. Some fine walks in the local area as well. Our hosts, Sandra and Alun, were very helpful about places to visit and great company over a glass or two of wine. We cannot recommend this property or location highly enough."

We were lucky with the weather and were able to be outside all the time - it was an unexpected heatwave! There were lots of lovely eating places in Brantome and Bourdeilles, but you do need to drive. "We had a lovely week at Franck’s property which is in a perfect location, quiet and a short walk to the centre of Riberac. The house is furnished and equipped to a high standard - in fact as there has been some refurbishment including new bathrooms since the listing photos were published it exceeded our expectations. Availability of tea and coffee. DIDN’T LIKE (just minor things) Parking very tight and therefore tricky, no milk with the tea and coffee (though got a jug on request). No slip mat in bath when using overhead shower, nor any handles. Coffee at breakfast served in an open jug so went cold by the second cup."
