We were told on the phone we would be in house 5 but were put in 106. While the house was clean, it was very outdated. It smelled musty and it was uncomfortable to see a mousetrap in the kitchen. It had broken window blinds and screen (windows had no curtains so light came in through broken slats). It was disappointing to drive through the complex (which was very nice) and realize we were given a lower quality unit.

House 71 really needed to some maintenance. Numerous burnt out light bulbs, cabinet doors that did not close, water leak behind the shower head pipe that probably is damaging the wall behind the shower enclosure, and exposed wiring in cabinet above range. Probably the worst thing was the condition of all the beds. They all need replaced, unless you like rolling to the center of the bed and sleeping on top of your spouse. The place could be nice with just a little work and some new beds.

The house was clean and very cute. Beds were comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. The Island club was very quiet and great for families. The downside was the window coverings. The curtains on the sliding doors only cover a portion of the doors. Anyone walking by can see the entire living area which offers no privacy. The shades on the bedroom windows are see through if the lights are on which offers no privacy for dressing or sleeping. Had an issue with ants in the Kitchen. If those things were corrected it would be a perfect stay. Great amenities.

The condition of carpets, wardrobes were dirty not in a good condition. Foul smell was coming from the rooms m. Mattress were in a very poor condition m. Carpets were very dirty and not cleaned properly. Napkins and all were there on the carpet.

The cottage was clean but needed many repairs and updates. We had gilf carts rented and they made it very cobvenient as they delivered them to our cottage and we were able to leave them there too. The price was very high but so is everthing else on the Island.

They say it is a very clean place. It is not. Our feet/socks would turn black from walking on floors. Tub did not work, fan made noise, had to rewash dishes as they were dirty. They said family friendly and quiet hours from 12pm to 8am. Completely wrong. Never quiet till 4am at best, parties all around us. Not family friendly as we were told and reason we picked. We knew there would be parties at a lot of places, so we looked for a place with quiet hours and "family friendly," this was not it. People on phone were polite and nice, but young man who was to bring cart key took 2 hours when told 15 minutes. Then he acted very rude as if our fault for his delay. It was not hard to leave the place cleaner than when we arrived. We love PutnBay, but will never stay here again unless we want to play beer pong all night with 20 somethings.

Thank you, Anonymous, for the review. We are sorry that you did not fully enjoy your stay. All of our Houses are professionally cleaned between departures and arrivals. But we do not have daily housekeeping services like in a hotel. Being nearby to a lake and with so many trees and pollen, some dust tends to get brought in on shoes and feet and that will get tracked around unfortunately. We are working on making a decision on new doormats or adding additional cleaning supplies for when things get messy. The dishes were put in the dishwasher to be cleaned between guests and the little bit of debris that was stuck to that plate should have been noticed by us and it has been noted for our staff. We try to be as transparent as possible in regard to the atmosphere of Put-in-Bay and always share with our guests who ask that weekends are usually louder and more rambunctious with the younger crowd who is off work for the weekend and celebrating birthday parties and bachelor/ette parties. Midweeks are more laid back and quiet with a little older mature of a crowd, families, reunions, and sightseeers. The Homeowners Association does have posted quiet hours for everyone's enjoyment, but we can not always catch everyone who may be breaking it without the help of everyone including guests and security. The Island Club is a big community and often during high season it is very full of rental guests. All in all, there looks to be a couple areas to improve upon and thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.

We love the Island Club! The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our house was clean and perfect for our getaway. We loved having a grill so we could cookout during our stay. I highly recommend the Island Club!

Can’t clean up, but plenty of room to sleep
Everything seemed kind of beat up when we got there. Then we wanted to get everything cleaned up before we left but the cleaning supplies weren’t great. They say they have cleaning supplies, but no rags, no mop. I did really like that there is plenty of sleeping accommodations.

We tried the 10-person house and it was spacious and accommodating. Our ice fishing trip was excellent and this lodging really helped make it a great time. The house was warm and clean for our non-fishing time together. We are already planning on coming back in the summer when it is warmer and the pool is open.

Thanks Greg! Our homeowners do not individually have wifi, but we do offer it at the pool area for public usage in the Island Club. Hopefully the internet companies (Frontier, Spectrum) will make their island internet better soon!!! Thanks for joining us on your vacation!

Vomit on wall and mattress
Do not book this place!! When we went to make our bed and moved the mattress there was vomit down the entire wall and side of the mattress. We ended up sleeping in the car and then finding a hotel the second night. We are still fighting with the hotel to get a refund. It was disgusting and VERY DIRTY!

good value for larger groups and families
Three older follows enjoying a midweek stay prior to Christmas in July. The island is not a cheap place to stay but they only have a short season to make a living and we were very satisfied with value for money at the Island club. Don't forget to bring your own linens. The beds were comfortable and the place was clean and well laid out. We will be back

Island Club Getaway
This location is very pleasant and enjoyable; however, you need to realize that a ferry is required coming and going, and that there are restricted times on weekends. We also had a problem with the air conditioner in our unit freezing up. As a result, we didn't get below 79 for the majority of the visit. In addition, they pictures showed a lovely, large bathtub for soaking in, but the tub didn't even have hot water running to it or a stopper. So much for that!
