Roads were very bumpy, seemed like area residents did not have any power and all entrances were gated and locked. This seemed normal to the locals but to us as tourists coming from other parts of Costa Rica was a very different experience. New culture was interesting. Definitely would stay at this hotel again.

We stayed for one night before a cruise. The good news is that the hotel is a quick five minute walk to Puntarenas port. The bad news is that we barely slept due to freezing AC, very low end linens and horrible pillows. There’s no elevator so we had to drag our luggage up two flights. No closet in the room, no blow dryer. On a positive note, the included breakfast, though limited to fruit, plantains, eggs, rice and toast, was surprisingly good and lunch—very fresh grilled shrimp over a salad of greens, cherry tomatoes and cucumbers—was excellent.

Great place to stay for a few nights and chill. Enjoy the great, clean hotel and nice pool with the shaded areas that you need in this climate. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The food and drinks are superb and I would try anything on the menu with complete confidence. Prices are sensible and compare very favourably with other hotels in Costa Rica. I hope we can visit again!

All the staff was incredibly helpful. Went out of their way to answer any questions that I had. Ingrid at the bar was an absolute delight and I hope she continues with her english lessons ond enjoys the book I recommended. I will be back!

El hotel muy bonito, el aire acondicionado están muy sucio y casi no enfriaba lo cual provocó una alegría fuerte a mi esposa, también el jabón de la ducha era como agua, el check in fue un poco extraño y tuvimos que comunicarnos con el Frontdesk para consultar por el internet y otras cosas. Punto fuerte el restaurante en la noche. Muy buena la comida.

Hola don Mario, apenas leimos su comentario corrimos a revisar el aire acondicionado de la habitación 105 en la cuál usted se hospedó y el aire estaba completamente limpio, hasta le tomé fotos para mostrarselas, cuandi gustes me escribes por whatsapp al 85301313 y te las envió, nos pareció muy extraño su comentario ya qué personalmente yo mismo realicé su check out y le pregunté como había sido su experiencia en nuestro hotel y usted me dijo qué todo estuvo genial y se mostró muy contento con el hotel y el servicio.

Would visit again
The place is pretty. Great swimming pool and rooms. All very clean, good customer service and amazing food. Parking is narrow, it is difficult to use. They really need to get more parking space. Had trouble with the shower in the morning: water flow went from zero to enough and then zero, prolly lots of people taking a shower at the same time, was afraid of ending up with soap all over.

El hotel está súper bonito y aún está bien cuidado, la pantalla de tv de la habitación estaba ya dañándose, pero nada que sea insoportable. Desafortunadamente la zona donde se encuentra el hotel es insegura y con muchos indigentes. La atención muy buena, la persona en recepción espectacular, muy amena y amable.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in for Puntarenas. My only complaint would be the limited parking near the hotel. When we arrived the parking close to the hotel was full so we had to park 200 metres lot which was safe but a bit of a walk from the hotel. Staff were very friendly and rooms and rest of hotel were clean. Overall I’d recommend it.

The hotel was very clean with a nice pool area. The staff was nice. We ate in the bar area and the bartenders/servers were very nice and friendly and the food was really good. However, the beds were not very comfortable and there was no hot water.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Coyuga Hotel in Puntarenas, and I must say that my experience far surpassed all my expectations. From the outstanding hotel facilities to the immaculate cleanliness and delightful dining options, every aspect of my stay was truly remarkable. Upon entering the hotel, I was immediately struck by its modern design. The lobby exuded an inviting atmosphere, and the staff warmly welcomed me, providing excellent customer service from the very beginning. The check-in process was swift and efficient, ensuring a seamless start to my stay. The hotel facilities were simply exceptional. My room was beautifully furnished and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The attention to detail was evident, as everything was meticulously maintained. Cleanliness is of utmost importance to me, and I was pleased to find that the Coyuga Hotel maintained impeccable standards throughout the premises. The housekeeping staff should be commended for their dedicated efforts in maintaining such a high level of cleanliness.

This hotel looked modern and newly renovated. It was clean and beautiful. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We were disappointed in the look of the surrounding town of Puntarenas.

The property is located in a busy commercial part of town .There’s a lot of traffic on the street in front of the hotel. Our room faced the street and was quite noisy. I do not recommend the suite with a Jacuzzi instead op for a room facing the pool. There was no room service the second day, however a free breakfast was included.

Hello Lyle thank you for staying with us it was a pleausure to host you in our hotel. we have different kind of rooms with jaccusys ,if it wasnt ypur preference to be in the one facing the front we have others facing the pool wich are quiet,it would have been very apreciated if you came to the reception and talk to us about a change of room if you didnt feel comfortable,the hotel its certailnly in a main street but like after 10 oclock at night theres no more trafic or any noise outside,and our windows are sound proof.We do have room service any day until 9:30 pm. The property was very clean and the air conditioning worked well. The only negative aspect was that there was that there wasn't any hot water for bathing.

Had a pleasant stay coming off the ferry in the evening. The hotel is quite modern for the location. Friendly, English speaking staff. They have a private garage for your car that is very secure and is accessible from within the hotel, should you need to get anything after parking. The rooms are small, but newly renovated. TV, full size bed, air conditioning, bathroom with glass shower door, and a small table with two chairs for seating in a little nook to the side of the door. There is dining available on property and a very nice pool. Next door to the hotel is a general store. Did not get a chance to use many of the lobby amenities, but I would say this will be my hotel choice for Puntarenas should I travel this way again. Highly recommended!
