We found ourselves right in the middle of the Punta Gorda historical district! Yes, it is located on a well traveled one way street. Yes, it doesn’t have the fanciest curb appeal. And yes, there is not a pool! But…. When we opened the front door, we walked into a welcoming and very charming cottage!! It was tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture, a bright and very modern kitchen, a great floor plan and was clean and inviting. The main bathroom was small but more than adequate. There was a newly added deck at the back of the house. Our favorite spot to sit was the enclosed front porch with plenty of windows. It was bright and inviting for morning coffee, an afternoon time to read or a quiet rest in the evening. And what a great location for leisurely walks to the harbor and historical sights. Yes, it had just what we needed to make out six week stay a ‘home away from home’. Kudos to Maggie. She checked in with us to make certain that we were comfortable.
