Our apartment (2 bedroom, 2 bath, kitchen was close to the beach (abt 50 mtrs). The area is very safe, walkable, nearby supermarket, plenty of restaurants. The apartment was neat, perhaps newly constructed. The window in one of the bathrooms had transparent glass and we covered it with towel. We reported to the property, hopefully they will fix it. There is an ATM closeby where I used my US bank card, but use it only in the extreme cases. Best is to carry enough USD and convert to Pesos with local exchanges (some of them are like regular shops) where you get a better exchange rate. USD is accepted everywhere, so not a problem. The flip side is that their communication is very poor...they give you a whatsapp number, but very slow response. They dont have an iron box, so make sure to ask them at the reception (we didnt, and it took them 2 days to get it to us) or carry one. I have asked them to include it in every apartment, as no one plans to carry it with them. Fabulous six bedroom penthouse, four bath with the top terrace and open view. It was clean, chic and spacious! This condo is perfect for large groups and very secure! It is gated with nightly security. Rosa our host was the best! Very accommodating and always accessible. She speaks great English too so communication was excellent. Breakfast is included and it's not your typical continental or buffet. Fresh and delicious! Even the staff there was amazing! The beach is literally steps away and you have access to beach loungers and straw huts. You also have access to a private pool as well! The location is close to everything by car or walking distance. So if you're looking for a super affordable option that still gives you an all inclusive resort feeling - this is it!! We will definitely be back! Front desk staff were always very helpful when had to ask for a little help. Even when was checking out there was an issue with transportation that was already arranged from another company. The staff helped getting one of their own taxis instead and helped with communicating (language barrier..)! Felt very safe in the area as well, once it dark there was a guard that sat by the gate and patrolled area all night. Only thing i didn’t really like was i found out when was first checking in that would have to pay for any electricity that would be used during week. Once we found it the guy didn't speak hardly any English, the credit card machine wouldn't work and it was very hard to communicate. The beach was ok and restaurants were within walking distance. The couches inside the condo were dirty, there wasn't any clean water to drink, the water in the bathroom smelled horrible. The closet shelves were dusty, mosquitoes were in every room and ants had taken over the table on the balcony. It was walking distance to restaurants, the beach, convenience stores and anything u would need. After showing my face at the rental office a couple times, the receptionist, Alberto turned out to be quite nice and he was extremely helpful in informing me how to get the meeting points for my excursions. I did see him be helpful to other residents abt the property, but i did not receive that assistance. I received no assistance when i checked in. I checked in after 8 pm and The person covering, named Julia had me sign a checkin document and told security to show me my room. She did not give me any information abt the property. I had to walk back to the rental office that nite to request a blanket. I did not like the fact that i was not informed where the hot water switch was, i had to ask for a blanket and face cloth, there was a broom readily available and no one is cleaning ur room daily. There was one trash receptacle in one of the bathrooms, there were no hangers with tons of closet space and no access to an iron. I asked and was told no. WiFi was very minimal and slow. It was only accessible in the living room. Looks great on the outside but when you enter the inside it is all dated broken, ceiling cut out in one of the washrooms pipes and plumbing exposed, toilet tank never stops filling, never ending noise, no dining table or chairs, no hot water in 1 bathroom shower, water smells like rotten eggs, WiFi worked for 2hrs out of 4 day stay, no utencils, no dish sope/sponge, no soap in washroom, broken fridge/freezer, loose and insecure front door and locks, super loud road next to the master bedroom trucks passing all night long. Horrible if they paid me to stay there. Para comenzar hay una seguridad para ingresar a la zona que no sabe explicar el proceso de check in ni te envía al sitio correcto. Una vez en condo el personal de seguridad tampoco sabe ni cual es el apartamento ni siquiera donde se hace check in (entramos porque un carro abrió el portón pero no teniamos como salir, ni el seguridad sabía como abrir la puerta. Luego de muchas llamadas telefónicas al número de Expedia cuando al fin contestan nos habla una persona de otro idioma que no entendiamos bien su español pero nos dejó esperando 30min. Cuando otro vehiculo entró pudimos salir y así otro seguridad nos guió al check in. Una vez alla no nos explican nada, solo la clave del wifi y nos abren el apartamento sin hacer levantamiento de lo que había dentro. Cuando al fin entramos, hay un mal olor a humedad y muchos mosquitos. Las ventanas no cierran, desperdicios de comida en el refrigerador, solo 1 toalla para 2 habitaciones, el agua del grifo huele a podrido, no sabemos donde botar la basura, el apartamento en overall se ve muy descuidado. La ubicación es excelente, tienes la playa a 20 metros y hay dos bares restaurant excelentes y a buen precio. Lo malo es el apartamento y el check in. Si mejoran eso sería un excelente lugar para visitar Los Fines de semana. Lo peor de todo es el mal olor del agua.
