Close to PUJ (Punta Cana Airport)
Dreams Palm Beach receives an A for effort, but this hotel is truly a 3 star accommodation at its best. Between the lack luster service of employees, the inauthentic food options ( rarely ever offered "true" Dominican cuisine ) and the room decor/amenities, Dreams Palm Beach leaves a lot to be desired.
Two things I felt extremely mislead by:
(1) $200 resort credit -- Upon booking you are lead to believe you will receive a resort credit to be used at your discretion during your stay at the hotel. However the credit is portioned out to at least 10 different coupons that CAN NOT be combined. So what that means for you the guest is $40 here, $20 there .. oh and $10 off a bottle of wine. My husband and I were planning to visit the spa during our stay by using this credit but unfortunately were unable to do that. There is a way to receive an additional $100 spa credit, however it involved a 1 hr breakfast AKA time share discussion where they try to sell you on their vacation club throughout other AM resort properties. Although tempting, our 3 day vacation was too limited to be engaging in any discussions that do NOT add to our ultimate goal of relaxation.
(2) The room accommodations -- My Husband and I initially booked the Deluxe Tropical View via Expedia, however decided to inquire about a room upgrade the day of arrival. Luckily, there was an upgrade available however it was an additional $50/day. Upgraded room was not as described. No pool view as promised

We truly offer you our most sincere apologies for the dissapointments you experienced, since as a service oriented company our principal goal is to provide all of our guests with the best and it is a shame that we were not able to make you join the great number of customers that we make happy on a daily basis. Regarding the resort credits, the use of these can be ask since the moment you get advise about the promotion. About the room view, when our guests book a tropical view room we can´t guarantee if it is gonna be located on pool or garden front, if they have an specific view request this needs to be ask for and will always be base on availability for more organization at time of the room assignments. Our reservation department and social media are always open to assist the guests with requests. With this being said, we appreciate the time you took to share your concerns so that we can take them as an integral part of monitoring the quality of our products and services. Hope you change your mind and give us the chance to turn around your last experience.
