"Hit and miss", but mostly miss!!!!!

Posted 18-Sep-2016
Pros: The staff were helpful and friendly. The grounds were meticulously kept. The beach was powder white and the water warm.
Cons: The resort needs AC in the registration and buffet areas, improved food selection and a resort casual dress code.
Location: Snorkeling was better on Catalina. Sailing is a blast.
First two rooms had AC, bug and noise issues. The third room was located in Building #5 and was told it was a free upgrade, it was on the beach and problem free. It is warm and HUMID on DR, you need operational AC. The preferred staff was helpful, after some coaxing. The buffet was open air and the food was hit and miss. The rotisserie chicken and fresh fruit were excellent, good luck otherwise! The restaurants were hit and miss as well, but had AC, to some degree. Order extra items to taste, the portions are small. Dress to sweat, shorts, button shirts and sandals should suffice! The Seaside Grill was good for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but should not carry the entire resort and require patrons to pay preferred guest rates to partake. Domingo and Edwin were excellent and deserving of their tips! SeaPro water sport center was excellent, honorable mention to JB and Franklin for prepping the Hobie Cat, they really helped compensate for the hit and miss resort entertainment. Overall, a decent resort with some great staff.

I had an amazing time at Dreams. I went to celebrate my birthday. The day of my birthday I was pretty much gone the entire day with friends from Higuey. When I returned in my room I found a beautiful fruit arrangement along with a bottle of champagne. How nice of them to think of me and do that. The staff was friendly everyone greets as you walk by. Looking forward to returning.

Beautiful grounds, big rooms, very clean

Posted 14-Sep-2016
Pros: Rooms very spacious and clean
Cons: Nothing at this time
Location: Being that it was a resort everything was at your fingertips, restaurants, pools, ocean, Spa, entertainment
The grounds were beautiful and very well kept up, the spaciousness of the room was very good and also clean, just a beautiful setting right on the ocean. Would definitely recommend the Punta Cana Dream Palm Desert to anyone who plans on visiting the Dominican Republic

Nice resort.

Pool was amazing. Beach access is great. Food is very so so, but it was our first time so not much to compare it to down there. Sand volleyball was a blast and we enjoyed the nonmotorized activities.

Lovely holiday, excellent resort and staff

Posted 07-Sep-2016
Pros: General atmosphere/resort layout. Cleanliness of ALL areas. Variety/quality of food. Priviledge Club rooms/facilities. Friendly staff. Entertainment.
An excellent beach holiday in a resort with lots of attention to detail. Excellent variety and quality of food and service. We especially enjoyed the seafood grill at World Cafe and Bordeaux Restaurant for dinners. Coco Cafe quite fun. Beautiful grounds, exceptionally maintained. Very good management - many thanks to Pedro Tomasz, general manager. Staff is a huge asset to this resort. Special mention: Germain, Juan Carlos, Raudin and all staff at the grill stations In World Cafe, Anasario (tennis), Cristian, Lennis, Angel, Frank, Nestor, Joel, Berlin, Martin, Eduarda, Jendar, Santa, Robin Hood. Beautiful beach, many activities available, superb pools.

Punta Cana Vacation Review

Posted 05-Sep-2016
Pros: The hotel is so close to the beach. The pool area was big and nice to cool off. They provide towels for you. I like all the drinks you can drink.
Cons: The World Cafe could use bigger fans or close it off to have air conditioning in the place. So people can eat comfortably.
Location: The only things nearby is little shops to purchase souvenirs.
Nice hotel close to the beach. Most of the hotel staff was very pleasant. Too much advertising on the beach. Activities are too far. Tips should be included in the price of the All-inclusive. All the bed sheets and comforters need to be washed per change over of each guest room. The certificates are junk! Thankful for the coupon flyer for the spa, otherwise, it's expensive. The air port layover (7 hours) on the return trip is very disappointing and a VERY LONG day for the kids. The airport food and trinkets are very expensive. I'm pretty sure we're not the first to complain.

Old resort with limited food options

Posted 04-Sep-2016
The resort is 30 years old. The Preferred Club Jacuzzi room was more of a shower/jacuzzi bathtub combo. The bathroom door opens onto the toilet, facing a semi old and dirty wall. The toilet doesn't flush on first try. Have to turn the knob in 3-5 circles before the magic happens. There's a weird wood window in the bath room that opens on both side for thof freaky couples. It's a flood zone whenever i tried to take a shower. The shower head was so dirty so I opted for the handheld instead. Service staffs were super friendly, however, management staffs were rude. They forgot that managers also have to practice customer service. The room was really small and it felt like nothing was dry. The pillows smelled like mildew. The best food I had at the resort was mango. Everything else either tasted weird or not fresh. Seafood was rarely found. Burgers and fried foods were plenty. There were only 2 options for breakfast and lunch, seaside grill or buffet (just buffet for non preferred guests). Both options were open air, even in the buffet with cold cut meats sitting in humid hot air for hours.
