Excellent hotel, beautiful scenery.

Pros: Everything
Cons: not much room for improvement, being that they go above and beyond on everything.
Location: Nearby pools and restaurants, as well as a shopping center, but need to drive or take a cab. Location is beautiful.
Overall a great excellent experience. From the minute you walk in you are welcomed with outstanding service. If you have the all inclusive, it exceeds all expectations. The food is great, plenty of variety for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The rooms are very comfortable, also exceed expectations. Pools and the beach are great, can get crowded, but still awesome. Theres bars in the pools and by the beach. Plenty of seats and massage tables. The bars and coffee shop offer excellent service. would def recommend and visit again. A bit pricey but you def get what you pay for an more. I'd say its worth it.

Had many problems, poor service

Pros: The only thing I can say I really liked was the Coco cafe and it's staff, they made my stay a little better.
Cons: Customer service!
Location: Location was good and went on several tours.
Resort was beautiful but lacked professional service. Staff several time either brought you something different than what you asked for or didn't bring it at all. Service was poor! Food was not great for the price of this hotel. I can't believe this place got so many good reviews, not sure I would trust reviews any more! Very disappointed! A lot of money for what I got.

exceptional vacation

Pros: This is a lovely Resort, not much not to like.
Cons: My only complaint is no bathroom doors. You have to be careful or you could be easily exposed to the hallway. A simple slider would do the trick.
Wonderful Resort, everything is so beautiful . Never felt crowded and everything is so close. Step out of your building and you are almost on the beautiful white sand beach. Short walk to restaurants and shops. As great as the Resort is, their #1 asset is their fabulous staff. Which ever way you look, there is someone close by either offering to do something to make your stay special or available for you to ask something of them. Somehow they are always there without ever being intrusive. It was never too much. Karina and Juana got us settled in a room we were happy with. Tomas helped us navigate and gave us coupons. Mr. Dion did a terrific job of keeping us well hydrated, I loved my special mango drink and Avy (sorry I couldn't say your name correctly) not only gave us excellent info about all the excursions, he also talked to us about the Dominican culture. Housekeeping, waiters, all staff were great.

Nice stay, but....

Dreams is a nice resort, but after having stayed at other Punta Cana all-inclusives, I'm not sure I would recommend it to a friend. It has nice restaurants, but they all get over-crowded after 6 PM resulting in a wait time of over 45 minutes. In addition, the entertainment at night is advertised as geared for families and children, but all of the scheduled movies and events were either cancelled or not appropriate even for tweens! The beach and pool are very nice and clean. However, the restaurant staff are very slow and, during breakfast and lunch, there was a regular shortage of clean plates, glasses and even silverware. There is no fitness center, and the group scheduled exercise activities were never followed through and were cancelled regularly. Needless to say, outside of beach and pool time, we were disappointed.

The restaurant wait regularly happens at the opening time, since this seems to be the favorite time for everyone and that´s why we give beepers to the guests when there are no tables available so they can have drink or explore the resort while we get availability. Incredible staff

Pros: Staff, staff, staff also, overall resort cleanliness and rooms.
Cons: Music played in the pool areas is repetitious, looping multiple times daily.
Location: Very convenient to airport. Did not leave property except for Catamaran Cruiser snorkeling excursion.
My wife and I, our 9 yr son, 16 yr dtr and her 14 yr friend stayed in 2 rooms. First impressions are everything and the bell captain, Pablo was amazing, both at check-in and check-out. He had our bags delivered on time and even had a taxi ready 10 min early for our departure. Very personal, friendly, and welcoming. Emanuel greeted us during our introduction to the Preferred Club (well worth the extra expense, general areas for swimming, dining, towels, and having a drink are great, but nice to have separate area for quieter, quicker service whenever you want). The bar staff including Yohan, Augustos, Adrian, Irwin and Eudy at the pool bar as well as Elvis at the lobby bar were great. All were very friendly and efficient. The Preferred beach waiters, Juan and Juan Carlos were equally nice, quick and professional. Regarding dining, special mention is warranted by waiter Domingo and sommelier Manuel. Both are very knowledgeable and accommodating. Alex waited on us for our romantic beach dinner and was also fantastic. Food overall was good and much better than other all-inclusives. Entertainment staff were awesome including Jose, Benjamin and the very energetic and enthusiastic Ergie. Finally, at checkout, Karina was extremely helpful and professional. We were all sad to leave. Clearly the management team is doing an excellent job. General manager Valter Espinoza was visible daily. We met him before at a previous stay at Paraiso de la Bonita in Mexico.

First time visiting Punta Cana

The Dreams Palm Beach is top notch. From the minute you enter the resort it is a tropical paradise. The staff are very welcoming and extremely polite. We were upgraded to Preferred Status which included many amenities along with private pool, room service, private section on the beach, butler, etc. We went for relaxation and that is exactly what we got. The food is also delicious and no worries about drinking the water in the restaurants - it is filtered. Highly recommend

Holiday Inn meets Olive Garden

Fair hotel. Food is pretty good but the restaurants do not accept reservations so they are difficult to get into. The buffet cafe is good. Beach is nice. Service is very slow. Staff are not friendly.

Great staff, nice hotel, preferred club BS

Pros: Staff.
Cons: Food, clean seaweed on the beach, don't sell preferred club If you don't have spaces on the beach.
Location: Nothing.
The hotel is not very big. The staff is friendly. Entertainment so so. We made a huge mistake by getting the preferred club which was absolutely waste of money. The were never spots on the beach at preferred area. You could not tell a difference between preferred member or not regular member. So anyone could go to any pool or beach area. Also they claimed to serve premium alcohol for preferred members between 10:00 and 10:30 pm but the only premium alcohol they had was whiskey black label. Overall food was OK. The beach was not cleaned from seaweed. My kids enjoyed the kids club.

Regarding the non-Preferred guests differentiation, we have securities working on this and to get a towel guests have to say their room and be in the list in order to use them. On the other hand we do have different premium alcohol brands and will be sharing your concern with the A&B manager for evaluation. The seaweed in our beach is cleaned daily by Picky Plant, but sometimes because of rainy days or just mother nature matters it is impossible to keep complete control over this. Living the dream at Dreams Palm Beach.

What can I say about the fantastic experience at dreams palm beach. Upon arrival we were greeted with smiles and a glass of champayne. The check in was fast and very informative about the resort property and daily activity. Though most days were rainy and cloudy, the staff made sure we were always having a great time. The food at the world cafe was delicious and service as well. The fine dining was also well executed and little to no wait. The room was always clean and very prompt when we requested room service. My father who has never travel to Dominican Republic, says he would like to go every year; expecially to Dreams Palm Beach hotel. My girlfriend, father, and myself rate it a 5 star because of exceptional service received at Dreams Plam Beach. We look forward for next year to return and have another wonderful and relaxing vacation.
