THis place was a highlight of our trip to Guatemala. Eveything was impecable. Great bungalows, great service and family dinners are not only delicious but also a great way to get to know people and make connections
Super séjour dans les cabanes sur pilotis face à la mer! Personnel très sympa et disponible et bouffe excellente :) Tout était parfait!

The setting is spectacular with million dollar views of the Pacific and seasonally the setting sun. Unfortunately, it is necessary to balance the aesthetics with a concern for safety. The huts are made of highly combustible thatched palm leaves. Unaccountably management permits smoking in adjacent public areas, even providing ashtrays. This is probably in violation of national law, certainly offensive to the 85% of people who do not smoke, and creates a headline waiting to be written about tourist deaths by fire. No extinguishers are visibly present and the kitchen is not equipped with grease fire suppressors called for by code in most countries.
The solutions are obvious, simple and low cost but until they are implemented guests must consider the risks versus the attractions of an otherwise unusually well-run and beautifully created hotel.
This place was very comfortable and chill. The food was amazing and resonably priced. The dinner was family style so it was a good way to make new friends too
Ambiente muy agradable, comida muy sabrosa y la cena está incluida en el precio. La playa un poco sucia que no tiene nada que ver el hotel sino la autodestrucción que los seres humanos estamos haciendo.
I stayed in both the dorms and bungalows here and was very happy. The staff was excellent and atmosphere was great if you're trying to relax, surf, have a couple drinks, meet new people, etc but not party which is what we were looking for. The food was great and reasonably priced considering there were not many other options in the area. It would have been nice if there were more menu options since I stayed a week and had a few repeat meals at lunch. Overall would highly recommend.

A stay in paradise
It was nice and calm totaly breathtakeing lové the surf style beachside recommend very much!
Neat and clean accommodation, cool people, tranquilo vibe, along the beach, cool dorms with no bunkbeds but just a comfi bed. I will definitely return :-). Thank you!
We loved the chilled vibe and relaxed atmosphere of this little surf slice of Heaven. Be prepared for a long journey from Guatemala City, arriving in the quiet little El Paredon village, where nothing much happens at all! It was a great spot to unwind after a busy trip and the surfing was on point. The delicious food and drinks served out of the kitchen are 5 star quality and delicious. Our suite was clean and we loved having a private, outdoor shower. Our only complaint was that the bed mattress was so old and lumpy, the pillows were even worse, making for a bad night's rest.
I totally loved everything about this place, the food, service, cleanliness, and the dinner was my favorite part because you get to share with everyone.

Nice place for a quiet vacation
Nice place for a quiet vacation. If you want to rest, this is your place. If you want to party go somewhere else.
I have been staying at El Paredon for several years and I remember a time when the rooms were impeccable (new plumbing, well maintained indoor garden, good lighting in the rooms). All that has been regretfully neglected over the last few years. Time to refurbish. Reading lamps in the rooms and new faucets would be a good start.
The personnel is always pleasant and helpful, but the kitchen needs some help. If the breakfasts are perfectly adequate, the dinner have been consistently inedible.
A fish dish in a red sauce recently served was unchewable and cold,
Better go next door where they serve decent Asian food.
