We had a great experience with the host and the room itself—zero complaints there! However, The Sonoran Star is still very much a work in progress. While the pool area is stunning, the resort is dealing with typical new-construction hurdles: parking is scarce, a main entrance door wasn't working, there's no security entrance gate yet, and security overall didn't feel as locked-down as other Sandy Beach resorts.Inside our unit, the shower drain was clogged; the first shower had water everywhere, maintenance finally responded, although it remains to drain a little slow. Overall it's a nice stay, but I’d probably book on the other side of Sandy Beach next time until the Star construction wraps up.
