Simple and charming cottage. We got a garden-view room that was comfortable. The hosts, Gary and Jared, were very nice. All the guests chatted around the breakfast table, and in the evening there was a nice fire in the drawing room and you can chill (we played board games). The continental breakfast kept us going until late afternoon or evening.
My boyfriend and I stayed for one night and we wish we could’ve stayed longer. The cottage is beautiful! You felt right at home the second you walk in. We loved the breakfast, snacks throughout the day, and how serene it was. It’s within walking distance to everything. The hosts and staff were the kindest and funniest people. Definitely recommend if you want to stay in Provincetown, but be able to sleep at night lol
We stayed six nights at Snug Cottage and loved our visit. Gary and Jared and Docus run a wonderful inn, providing a lovely and relaxed home with an ample continental breakfast and very pleasant company. Our first 4 nights were in the Windsor room with the following 2 nights spent in the York room. Other guests at the inn were wonderful as well, Obviously everyone felt the same friendly and warm environment provided by our innkeeps. When in P-town, be sure to try Joon, Freemans, Ciraldi, Sal's Place, Pepe's Wharf and Victors. And be sure to swing by Steele for a fantastic selection of men's shirts.
Gary is a great host, and his team is very cordial. We enjoyed breakfast on the patio and the privacy of our large and nicely appointed room. Great location.

You can’t beat snug cottage
Jared and his partner were so helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Snug Cottage is lovely. The have a patio and dining room where you can choose from a variety of yummy continental breakfast choices including homemade chocolate croissants They have a nice seating area in front of snug cottage. A great place to stay.
The Snug Cottage is the quintessential historic Provincetown experience without being in the center of the tourist buzz… understatedly upscale, the staff was friendly and attentive. I can’t wait to ’escape’ there again !
Snug cottage is an amazing place. I felt so welcome and the service was beyond perfect. I can’t wait to come back and stay again. It is a tough place to leave.
Absolutely loved staying at the Snug Cottage. Jared and Greg and the entire team were extremely helpful and welcoming. The Victoria room was spacious and had everything I needed for my stay. Just a short stroll away from the hustle and bustle of Commercial Street, it’s nice to come back to a quieter part of town to rest. I will absolutely be coming back!
This is one of the most delightful stays that I have ever had in Provincetown or anywhere. The friendliest, kindest staff, a plethora of amenities and spotless cleanliness. Looking forward to a return!
The hotel was under construction as one of the guest had over floaded the bathroom tub on 2 nd floor and it leaked down
Room was a tiny closet size
No view ,bathroom was filthy which I told the manager upon checkout who didn't seem to care at all. After giving him a bad rating with expedia all of the sudden he became nice and apologized and was courteous enough to give me a partial credit. The positive, location is great 2 minutes to main street
We loved the historic old home. The owners were exceptionally helpful and accommodating. The bed was very comfortable and the room was comfortable, just so small and no closet. The bathroom only accommodated one person at a time with no place for toiletries at the sink nor in the shower. The lighting was very good. Breakfast is provided and by far one of the best. Had a wonderful living area for reading or just relaxing. The room had a fridge which is always a plus. BUT, would I stay there again? Yes.
We stayed at this B&B for a week and it was a poor experience. The room needs a lot of refurbishment to replace old furniture,TV initially did not work and had to be replaced. Housekeeper is rude and cleaned the room once during the entire week. Several guests also shared their frustrations with me during this trip.
Where to start. When I first checked in I learned that the water pipes had been frozen. My room had no heating as it wasn't originally a room to begin with and was a space taken from two rooms to create an additional bedroom that was smaller than most dorm rooms. After asking a couple of times they finally gave me a space heater for the room and the water was finally working again. Unfortunately during my stay I couldn't use the shower as the water was way too hot and there was no way to control the temp. I ended up taking a sponge bath using the ice bucket in my room to fill with water. Ironically the shower wasn't draining the water and later the toilet wouldn't fill up with water after flushing it. The bed and breakfast was quite cold and would of been freezing had it not been for the fireplace and space heaters. I'm sure the place was quite beautiful in it's prime but today it could use a lot of renovations and some TLC. The breakfast supplied could also use some home made items as it mostly consisted of muffins purchased from the local Stop & Shop. Definitely not worth the money spent.
Upon arrival in P-Town, I stopped at the property two times to find out the check-in time. I also wanted to know if I could park my car prior to check in. There was no one to be found. All doors to the property were open, and you could freely walk in, out and around the property; the inn keeper wasn’t to be found. I also called two times looking for the Inn Keeper - no success. Several hours after my first stop, I did find a cleaning lady who knocked on the door of the inn keeper’s private room looking for him on my behalf, without success. I let her know what room I was to stay in, and she pointed me to the room. I let myself into the room. There was no key provided and the door to the room did not lock. The cleaning lady said to me that she is normally provided a list of those staying at the property, but hadn’t received one for that day, and asked for my name. Thereafter I did receive a text from the inn keeper directing me to find the cleaning lady for assistance, he was out of town, shopping. I spent the night and left early the next morning. Again - no one was to be found. However, I did hear a floor board “creak” in the middle of the night - so there was life in the house! In walking around the property, I found the yard to be unkept & in a bit of disarray. All of that having been said, the bed and linens were comfortable and the towels were bright & white. The soaps & shampoos had a pleasant scent. This property is on the edge of downtown Provincetown.
This location in Provincetown was perfect, not directly in town but right amount of walking distance to town. The cottage was cozy and comfortable, with a common space for chilling out, whether inside or out. The staff was chill and didn’t overly fuss, which works for me…they were very accommodating and I will definitely come back for a visit in the future for a great relaxing vacation in a fantastic location.
Our host texted me the morning prior to check-in with clear detailed instructions and greeted us upon arrival. He let us know some important information about local covid rules which are very strict now in provincetown. The property is clean and located just outside of the downtown area walking distance from bars and restaurants. We had an ocean view from our room. Coffee, tea,and wine were included in the price as well as a continental breakfast. There is plenty of outdoor seating and a table for dining out in the garden. We loved this place! Highly recommend!
We’ve been going to Snug Cottage for 5 years. Very friendly staff and comfortable environment inside and outside accommodations. Lovely having breakfast outside on the patio. We will return.
Unique historical home very convenient to everything and with parking. Friendly owner, takes good care of you. Fun to meet other guests in common areas. Would stay there again for sure.
