Here you will enjoy views of the magnificent ocean, lush mountains and abundant waterfalls. The large sliding glass doors in each room allow the trade winds to keep the house cool, accompanied by air conditioning throughout. It has every amenity desired for gourmet cooking, playing at the beach, and keeping the mind and body happy. (boogie board, bikes, books and games). The home is located in a quiet neighborhood on the second hole of the Makai Golf Course. It is less than one-half block from the Hanalei Bay Resort and a 10 minute walk to the closest beach. The local beach is inside the protective reef in front of the 1 Hotel, with good snorkeling. The Hanalei Bay Resort is a few doors down if you want a drink or a meal with Bali Hai as your backdrop. Combining rustic elm furniture with vibrant blues, corals and greens the home has a calming coastal vibe. It has four bedrooms and three baths, one outside shower, and one main kitchen. In a Hawaiian paradise like Princeville, it’s imperative that the outdoor living areas take full advantage of the home’s tropical surroundings. There are three seating areas on the lanai. At the front entrance of the home, we included a space where guests can watch the sunrise over the iconic Kauai mountains. At the back of the house we created an outdoor dining area, as well as a separate cozy seating area for watching sunsets while enjoying a glass of wine or island libation. It is surrounded by tropical gardens with ginger, oranges, lemons, limes, papayas, pineapples, orchids and a multitude of flowers. There is also a ground floor patio and tropical hardwood deck, facing the golf course with plenty of room to lounge or BBQ. There are two master bedroom suites, a garden suite, a playful double twin room and a cozy sleeping loft all within ear shot of a heavy surf. The surroundings wash away stress and a good night sleep is inevitable after experiencing the variety of activities here on the island. It is located 27 miles from the Lihue Airport and close to the convenience of the Princeville Center with market, restaurants & shops. The bedrooms were all spacious with comfortable beds and my grand daughter loved her loft space. The kitchen was well stocked with all the appliances/utensils/etc. needed to prepare all our meals and the large dining table was perfect for our group. The living room was comfortable, but on the small size - which was OK for us, as most of us spent our time on the beautiful, large wrap-around porch when we were at the house. There are incredible views from the front porch of the Kauai mountains and across the golf course to the ocean off the back porch. The beach stuff provided was all we needed for our outings to the beach and snorkeling. My only small complaint is the master bath shower, which was small with the shower head too high, which made it difficult to take a shower with out getting your head wet - this wasn't a big deal for me as I ended up using the great outdoor shower all of the time, which I loved. We'll definitely consider coming here again on our next trip to Kauai. ##### Paul S. Everything was exactly as described and we had all the amenities we needed including beach gear, bicycles and kitchen equipment. The location was beautiful and close to so many exciting places to explore such as Queen’s Bath, Hideaway Beach and the nearby town of Hanalei. It was also a stone’s throw from the Hanalei Bay Resort where we could go to have a drink and watch the sunset. We had three generations with us ranging from people in their twenties to someone in their late 70’s and the accommodations worked for all of us. The beds were very comfortable and everyone slept very well. We also enjoyed watching all the beautiful birds that were around. We could see beautiful mountains in the front of the home and the ocean from the back. Thank you for our lovely stay! ##### Kris L. Loved the covered porch during a rain shower. So helpful to have basic spices available. Use instacart to do a Costco order. The location is ideal—nestled in Princeville on the North Shore, just minutes from Hanalei Bay and surrounded by what I believe is the most breathtaking scenery on all of Kauai.The house itself was spotless and beautifully maintained. The amenities provided truly elevated our stay. On our final day, we made it to Tunnels Beach early for some unforgettable snorkeling—something we wouldn’t have been able to enjoy without the high-quality gear conveniently available in the garage (at least at the time of this review). It ended up being the highlight of our trip.We also made great use of the beach chairs, bikes, sand mat, and coolers. Thoughtful touches like liquid soap, coffee filters, and condiments made everything feel seamless and stress-free. Our stay there was absolutely wonderful. Everything was perfectly clean, check-in process was easy, plenty of kitchen essentials including some basic food items that we were happy to add to, plenty of beach gear, checkout instructions were easy, the owner's notebook even had suggestions for excursions, restaurants and just general things to do. The views from the wrap-around porch were terrific!!!! The downstairs suite was perfect. The upstairs loft would be perfect for children or young teens. The neighborhood was quiet and the location near the gold course made it perfect for walks. We were a 2 min walk to the resort where we went to grab pizza and drinks one night where we had great views as well. The home was perfectly decorated just like the pictures showed. We would definitely choose Christine's home again. We absolutely couldn't have chosen a better, more quaint home for our stay!! ##### Patricia D. I just have to say that this trip to Kauai, our 5th and the 1st for many family members was simply Amazing!!! That was mainly due to this fabulous home! We couldn't have asked for better accommodations while we were on the island. Everything you could think of that you would need is provided and the home just felt like our home away from home! Plenty of room for our group of 4 couples as well as amazing views, sunsets and relaxation. Rent this home, you can't go wrong!!! We arrived at the appointed check-in time and found no key in the lock box and the garage door opener did not work. We couldn't get hold of the property manager, but eventually found one of the many glass doors to be unlocked so were able to enter. Would recommend guests contact the property manage prior to arrival to confirm the arrival time. ##### Kendall N. The beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms and the apartment downstairs were wonderful! The lanai is beautiful and a special retreat. We spent every morning outside watching the golfers, chickens, rain, sun, etc, while we enjoyed our breakfast and books. The house was very clean and had everything that we needed. We had some trouble with the solar water heater on the first morning, but the property manager was over to help in less than 10 minutes and fixed the problem within 5 - WOW! We also LOVED the fresh oranges, lemons and limes out in the garden and enjoyed large pitchers of fresh juice every day. The walk to the beach is really nice and took less than 10 minutes. The beach was well-maintained with lots of pretty fish, great snorkeling, and even a visiting turtle. We are all dreaming of our next trip to Kauai and would definitely stay here again.
