Enjoy stunning views of Lake Ontario from the large windows or patio. ST-2019-0081 (STA license number) Welcome to Sakura Cottage! A favorite gem of Wellington Ontario. Sakrura Cottage has been renting to happy guests for several years however a recent change in rental management means that past reviews do not follow the property to the new listing. In the photo gallery you will find some screen shots of past reviews from happy guests. Sakura Cottage has large windows to give you a panorama view of the Lake Ontario and its shore birds. The kitchen is fully equipped and outside find a barbeque with complimentary propane available for those warm weather evening feasts. Chill out on the deck while watching the moon rise over the lake and wake up to the sound of waves lapping on the limestone beach. Lake Ontario is perfect for kayakers and windsurfers. Or rent a bike and tour the County. The soothing lake breezes quite literally make it the coolest spot when the weather is hot. Sakura Cottage is fully winterized and is a wonderful cozy getaway in chillier times as well. Outside you'll find a BBQ with propane included for all your grilling needs, and a patio set for alfresco dining. A few doors away from the Drake Devonshire, a short drive to the Hillier Wine District and walking distance to Midtown Brewery and other good eats. For browsers, there is the Wellington Farmer\`s Market and countless local artisans. We do have a 'ring' doorbell camera monitoring the outdoors at the front door, and parking area. There are no cameras indoors. If bringing a service animal, it is the expectation the pet accompanies the owner at all times and can not be left at the property alone. Costs associated with damages caused by a pet will be pursued and are not included in the pet fee/cleaning fee. An additional cleaning fee to cover the removal of pet dander from the property will apply. Water access Lake Ontario is a especially prone to change conditions very quickly. Often in the morning it is tranquil and by your second cup of coffee the wind has picked up and there are nice waves. This is incredibly exciting to observe, but kids and inexperienced swimmers should always be well supervised. One of the greatest pleasures of the beach front however is the hunt for fossils. The limestone in this area is famous for them. It is almost guaranteed that guests will find a trilobite or mollusk to add to their collection. There is no sudden drop off in front of the house. One can comfortably walk out 20m. The house faces directly south so the moonrises are stunning. Rochester\`s lights are 70km away can be seen on a clear night. Waterfront is accessed by stairs with railing. These stairs are removed from the water in the fall and returned in the spring (weather depending) but guests are welcome to use the neighbours steps (to the east) if the stairs are not put in by time of visit. Usually stairs are in for May long weekend. The waterfront is not protected by a fence, so guests should mind young children while out on the back lawn. Special Note: Sakura means Cherry Blossom in Japanese. Please read the listing prior to booking. No parties and no additional guests are allowed or fines may apply. No exceptions. 2\. Pets: No pets allowed, with the exception of service animals. 3\. The Guest who books a stay must be a minimum of 25 years old. The Guest who makes the booking must also be present for the stay. 4\. Shooting fireworks and / or firearms is strictly prohibited. 5\. If area parks are affected by high water levels or natural disasters, prior to or at the time of stay, a refund or change of dates is not permitted. 6\. Beach pass must be left at the property in their original location for the next guests at time of departure or the Guest who booked the stay will be required to pay cost to replace. 7\. Guests are asked to wash all dirty dishes, glasses, put garbage and recycling in designated areas and leave the property in an orderly state. Please follow list of checkout duties as provided by Owner. 8\. Guests will be responsible for all Damages, Extra Cleaning and Missing Items during their stay including robes (where provided) This is not a hotel. We expect that you will treat this home as you would your own.
