White sand, excellent surf and sheltered rock pools are just some of the reasons to visit this stunning beach in the beautiful Margaret River region.

Discover the pristine natural environment and renowned surf breaks of Prevelly Beach. Watch as enthusiasts from around the world surf the famous waves. Spend some time hopping between rock pools to see the diverse marine species that live in this special nature reserve.

Feel the sand between your toes as you stroll along the shoreline. Gentle waters can be found near the mouth of the Margaret River at the northern end of the beach. Swim in the naturally enclosed pool formed by the riverbank’s sands. This sheltered spot is patrolled by lifeguards in summer and so is ideal for kids to explore.

Paddle up the Margaret River on a kayak tour or learn how to surf at one of the local surf schools. If you’d prefer to spectate, bring your binoculars and join the observers on the lookout above Surfers Point. Be amazed as these adventurous athletes duck under huge waves and weave across the breaking waves.

Low tide reveals the fascinating rock pools located to the north of Surfers Point. Find crabs and fish trapped between the rocks and look for stingrays basking in the shallow waters of the beach.

Stroll along the waterfront path to reach the enclosed lookout shaped like a giant nautilus shell and listen to the sound of the surf magnified inside. A 10-minute walk south will bring you to the cafés overlooking Gnarabup Beach.

Always check surf safety conditions before entering as this section of the coast can have dangerous waves and currents.

Stay in the picturesque coastal town of Prevelly, which has an excellent range of accommodation and restaurants. The wider region is renowned for its beaches, forests and vineyards.

Spend sunny days lazing on the sand or have a surfing adventure at stunning Prevelly Beach.
