We had a fantastic stay in the Sapentia. We were there for a week and got to know the local area well and built a nice relationship with the staff too. The Hotel is situated in great spot, some of the rooms have great views towards the river. The only issue is parking. The location is on a tiny street adjacent to the University. The hotel is very close to the shrine . Very clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful. Breakfast good. Would recommend Restaurante A Tasquinha where the food was excellent as was the service. We also enjoyed going to Manhas Restaurant which has been a family favorite. .

Approx.400 metres from beach, good, secure parking. Plenty of cafe's , bars & shops etc..Good clean new & modern Villa. Comprehensive choice of breakfast. Pleasant staff.

A genuine oasis of tranquility with Michelin style cuisine are reasonable prices. Ideally located between the west coast beaches and the medieval village of Obidos. The accommodation is very cafefully considered - genuinely thibk they should market the units. Felt very comfortable here.

This is the third time I’ve stayed at this hotel and , as with the other times, I have nothing but positive things to say. The property is in an absolutely perfect location - five minutes to the beach and a few minutes the other way to the river. It’s fairly quiet after dark but felt safe on my own, The check in was easy. 5/5. Staff in reception are friendly and smile and speak very good and fluent English. Very welcoming after a long trip. Room was quite spacious, I would say above average for a 3 star. Very clean both room and bathroom. The double bed is king size with a firm mattress which for me was wonderful and I slept like a log! there is a hair dryer which meant I didn't have to go ask for one in reception. Central location, nice clean room in excellent state. The room was a bit on the smaller side, especially the shower cabin, but suited our family of three very well for a one night stay.

Comfortable bed, excellent location for the town and access to the surrounding towns

We had a little difficulty on arrival because there was a no entry sign across the road leading to the village and we went past it. We eventually found our way and had to swerve round the barrier. Had we been told about this, we would have found the village more easily. The once abandoned hilltop village has been sensitively restored and is now mainly reliant on tourism.
