house close to the park. This house was perfect. The hostess was thoughtful and quick to respond to any questions that I had. I was greeted with fresh fruit, plenty of towels, huge TVs, a beautiful custom kitchen island, and everything I needed to help me settle in before and after our treks to the park. "We went with a vrbo in Prairie du Chien so that we weren’t camping. The air conditioning and comfortable space for 5 of us was amazing on the very hot weekend. We spent our days at Wyalusing State Park and then Effigy Mounds and Pike’s Peak State Park in Iowa. It was the perfect place to come back to with comfy beds and a camp fire for my nieces, nephew and husband. Husband only wished it was closer to the water to throw out a line and try

"Loved the historical home and location. Very clean and had everything you would need. Walkable to lots of great places. The front and back porches were perfect for morning coffee and evening refreshments. Highly recommend staying here vs the hotel scene. Prairie du chain has historical locations, close to state park for paddling, unique bars (back water, blackhawk, fraziers, the tavern…..great music scene in the evening And!! …. You need to get a burger from Pete’s. The train was fun to hear...
