Casa Terry - Lovely apartment with sea view

Suspended between the sky and the sea there is Casa Terry, a lovely detached house in the heart of Praiano. Recently renovated, within walking distance of restaurants, bus stop and grocery store, Casa Terry is the ideal accommodation for a couple looking for a quiet, central and panoramic place. It enjoys a large outdoor area with breathtaking views, equipped with a whirlpool tub, open all year round, and furniture for dining al fresco: a gem to enjoy the incredible views of the sea and the glimpse of the Coast. The interiors are enhanced by the majolica floor typical of the Amalfi Coast and blue and white details that make the rooms fresh and welcoming. Wi-Fi, heating and air conditioning systems are available throughout the apartment. To reach the building it is necessary to climb about 80 steps alternating with 200 meters of path typical of the Amalfi coast



The building is organized on a single level which includes:

- Outdoor terrace on two levels, equipped with heated Hot Tub - open all year - (Please note: the pool needs about 24 hours to warm up), table for outdoor dining and outdoor seating;

- Large living room with open kitchen (fully equipped) with table for 4 people;

- Double bedroom, sea view, with access to the balcony with infinity view;

- Bathroom with shower;

- Laundry



Casa Terry is located in the heart of Praiano, east side, on one of the typical paths of the town. To reach the house it is necessary to follow a path of about 200 meters, alternating with about 80 steps. It is possible to book the luggage service, for a fee. The public parking is about 500 meters away (it may not be easy to find parking in the summer).

Fantastic Stay, Excellent Host

Wonderful Stay, Stunning Views

Our stay was perfect. The kitchen is missing a few things but overall you can manage. Yes, lots of stairs. If you are on foot you can expect a tough walk to get anywheredo anything. We didn’t mind but we are in shape. The host was great at giving us your options but they were all on the high end for costs. We booked our own tours and rides for a fraction of the cost. The place is wonderful! Lots of space to relax and enjoy the views.

Great location, close to the local bus stop for getting around Praiano. The outdoor tub was perfect to cool off in after a day of walking in the July heat. Check in was very easy.

Peaceful Retreat

Praiano is a peaceful place to stay amongst the chaos of Amalfi coast. We enjoyed Casa Terry and loved the view, the terrace and hot tub and the cool modern interior. Be ready for the steps in the village - of course the whole coast is like this! Great stay and recommended. SMAAC were fabulous hosts and always available with a lot of suggestions for our trip

What a gem!

This place is one of the best we’ve ever stayed at, it felt like a home for 4 nights, it was so comfortable. Everything looked very new and crisp, and the place was immaculate. The views are unbelievable. Our hosts were unbelievably wonderful as well. If we come back to Praiano, this is where we’ll stay!

Recommending Casa Terry

Just stayed in this absolutely lovely spot. The team at SMAAC as well as Norman were very helpful and quick to answer any questions we had. It was clean and ready to go when we arrived including some of the key essentials in a welcome package. We took advantage of the private outdoor space with fantastic views which also included the hot tub (great after walking the hills in Praiano). Great spot and would recommend (5 stars). Two minor things would be that the shower water can make it onto the bathroom floor while showering (likely slope issue with the shower floor) as well it would have been nice to have an extra or larger ice tray for drinks, etc. (but it really wasn’t a big deal…very minor).

It was the perfect holiday accommodation in a fantastic village

There is always a degree of uncertainty when booking a property so far from home from pictures alone. On this occasion we were blown away by Casa Terry. It was the perfect holiday accommodation in a fantastic village away from the chaos of Positano and Amalfi. That said, both towns are accessible by private transferbus services. Praiano has all you need for a great holiday. The restaurants were excellent (Kasai is a must-do) and there are plenty of supermarkets for fresh food. From Casa Terry the local and Positano bus stop is a 3-4 minute walk and it costs around €3 for a return journey (compare that to €50 for a transfer car one way!). We found Marina di Praia beach to be just as much fun as any other, a bit more casual if anything and well serviced by many restaurants and a great little cafe. We visited Positano a couple of times but had the added luxury of returning to Praiano at the end of the day and soaking in the unforgettable views from the two terraces as well as unwinding in the spa. Everything feels new. The kitchen is excellent and the bathroom great too. The bed was very comfortable and on a cooler night you can sleep with the balcony doors open and a gentle sea breeze and views coming in. All the mod-cons were there to make the stay that much better. Like anywhere on the coast there are steps to negotiate. It’s 90 steps in total in two sections from Piazza San Luca in Via Antico Seggio to Casa Terry. It is not a difficult process and the beautiful, private and luxurious surroundings soon make you forget everything else. The locals are incredibly friendly and engaging, adding to the charm of the location. There is absolutely no doubt that I would re-book this house in Praiano if I was to return to the Amalfi Coast. It was the highlight of the trip and we’re grateful for the experience.
