Art Deco Hotel near to main tourist sites

Posted 09-Feb-2016
Pros: Recently decorated room, fulfilled my request for higher room, nice bathroom
Cons: Frustrating that you have to pay for, or upgrade your room for faster wifi. If it's there, it should be available to all, it's expected nowadays.
Hotel lobby is not very imposing, most of ground floor taken up by large Cafe/Dining Room in original Art Deco style. Bedroom was v comfortable, recently decorated, nice marble bathroom. Quite a few nice trendy non-chain eateries nearby. About 5/10 mins walk to Old Square, the Palladium Shopping Centre, about 50 yards from Hotel is hidden away but handy for some sheltered shopping. Breakfast is good, usual European foods, hot/cold buffet good way to start a day slogging around the sites. Hotel is on a tram route and also very near underground station. Transport is very good, clean and fast, although it's a good city to walk around.

Fantastic - Above Ratings speak for themselves

Posted 29-Jan-2016
Pros: Just about everything, as shown above.
Cons: I could not find any fault even minor. It was very close to perfection
Location: We walked all around Prague and did not use public transport this time. It is well located and just a short distance from Wenceslas Square.
My wife & I were travelling to Prague for a five night stay for the very first time. We both thought we`d died and gone to Art Nouveau/Art Deco heaven. And if you like either or both of these styles I`m sure you`ll think the same. Everything was first rate - the food, the service and the surroundings. We booked via Expedia, and will do so again. We are unused to staying in five star, but the price was fantastically cheap. I also received a complimentary bottle of wine from the hotel as it was my 60th birthday.

Classy and very comfortable

Posted 26-Jan-2016
Pros: Decor and food
Cons: Turn down the heating a little as the bedrooms were a little too warm!
Location: Good location, only a short walk to Republic Square and Wenceslas square
Lovely boutique hotel. Great service, beautiful decor and delicious food. Also a great location, only a five minute walk to Republic Square and the Powder Gate and Wenceslas Square only a short walk too. The dining room is particularly beautiful with stunning Art Nouveau mosaics and ceramic tiles and Pillars.

Beautiful, conviniently located hotel in Prague

Posted 26-Jan-2016
The Art Deco Imperial is located right in the old town, close to some wonderful restaurants and a short walk to the old town square. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the hotel offers its own competitive car service to avoid guests being ripped off by the local taxis. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are lovely. And the hotel restaurant - the Imperial Cafe - is a must, and is considered one of the best in Prague. Make sure to book though, it's hugely popular.

Perfect for Prague

Posted 16-Jan-2016
Cons: The bar area could maybe have some music to add to the atmosphere.
Location: Close to everything.
The location on the edge of the Old Town is great, easy to walk to all the sights. It is truly an Art Deco hotel, the Café Imperial is lovely for a meal, but gets busy so book a table. We had asked for a room on the 6th floor, but on arrival we were given the option of an upgrade to an Executive Room, for an extra 30 Euros per night. The view from the room was not good though, but didn't spoil our stay. Lovely, big bathroom with shower and bath, plus separate toilet, beautifully tiled and spotlessly clean. Staff were all wonderful. The bar area was quite nice and drinks were reasonable. Breakfast was plentiful.

Beautiful hotel

Posted 13-Jan-2016
Pros: The old fashioned charm, ambience and location.
Cons: nothing
Location: Less than 10 minutes to Old Square, Powder Tower and Muncipal House. Eateries nearby, shops, (retail and supermarkets). Great spot to stay.
Loved the hotel. A beautiful, original place that takes you back in time and in my opinion will always beat a modern hotel which can often lack charm and atmosphere. Great if you love all things vintage especially Art Deco and history. The Cafe (restaurant/breakfast room) is amazing visually and the thought that the likes of Franz Kafka dined there made it feel extra special that for a short time we were part of this history. We had an executive room (myself and my daughter) which we found big enough for us. Exceptionally clean, bathroom with shower, bath and toilet and also a separate toilet which was handy. Previous reviewers have said it can be noisy (trams) but we really didn't notice it and our room was on the 1st floor. All the staff were very professional, helpful and polite. The breakfast was fantastic, hot selection - fried eggs, scrambled, boiled and omelettes, continental selection (the pate was really, really tasty), fruit, youghurt, porridge. We also ate there on our first night and it was a lovely meal (I had wild boar and my daughter rabbit) and we would recommend an evening meal there at least once if you can as the prices are very reasonable.
