"No one on arrival or check out, didn't see a member of staff at all. Instructions for arrival are on the email however and it was a very pleasant stay. Take food with you as there is nothing around and no restaurant on site."

"Was a nice place but just not for me hosts were very friendly there was a set meal which didn’t really suit my tastes but there was no other choice 1 thing I found strange was sitting around a big table with guests you had only just met not forced too but you weren’t offered any other option other than that was ok for a 1 night stay bit remote nothing else around if you wanted to go out for food "

"Caution when booking. Place is filthy. The owner comes round and warns you of all the things that are broken and how poorly put together everything is. Even that if we used a plug in heater and water heater at same time the place could blow up. This was after an hour and a half of driving up the worst dirt track. Never have I booked somewhere and left to go and find somewhere else but I did this time. Owner knew it wasn't fit for holiday makers since as soon as we opened the door to him he asked...

"Literally in the middle of nowhere but if you like that sort of thing this is the place to be. We loved it for a few nights. House was great, road to get there was not but we have 4 wheel drive and our kids thought it was hilarious."

"Peaceful, quiet. no cars, airplanes. Just the birds, sheep, sound of the wind, and the surf of the Ocean. I went for hikes and slept fantastically each night. This is a place to relax and get away from the crowds. Enjoyed every minute of it."

"I loved the remoteness of this wee cottage. If you’re looking for somewhere quiet, with lots of lovely walks, then this is ideal. The cottage is powered by a generator, which you can hear but soon get used to. Make sure you bring everything you need, it’s a fair trek to the nearest shop! My dog ran around the forest all day long and slept all night and I chilled out with a glass or two of wine. I hope to visit again in the not too distant future."

"What a great cottage! Alix was very accommodating and helpful while we got settled in. We were able to sample the cupboard cakes and they are highly recommended. We started every morning in the sun room with coffee and met several of the pea hens who were pretty entertaining. Great walk to the beach which we had all to ourselves. Our only complaint is that we didn't stay longer! Thank you again Alix!"
