Sleeps 6: Large 4 Bedroom, 4 Bathroom House in Central Portree

  • COVID-19 cleaning routine in place.
    Number 12 is a 4 bedroom and 4 bathroom self catering 'holiday let' house centrally located in the Island's capital, Portree. This large house sleeps 6 guests comfortably. The house is situated in a small crescent of similar houses off the main road. Number 12 is a short walk to the village centre and shore (less than 5 minutes) and is the pefect base from which to explore the Island. Off-street parking for up to 4 cars is available on the large block-paved driveway.
    This holiday let has an ensuite family room (double and single), a twin ensuite room, a twin room with adjacent shower room and WC and a further ground floor double bedroom also with adjacent shower and WC.

    Number 12 has oil fired central heating. There is a large lounge and well-appointed kitchen with dining room. Guests are also free to use the large rear garden.

Nice location

House was conveniently located in town so close to store and restaurants. Plenty of parking for our two rental cars - a good base to tour around the Isle of Skye!Could not quite figure out the timing for the hot water in sinks - but at least the shower was hot.

Beautiful 4BR home with plenty of space. Located near town center this home is perfect to use as a base on the Isle. Plenty of space for multiple cars. Wonderful restaurants nearby. But do make reservations as they can be busy. We would definitely stay at this home again in the future.

A great house in a great location!

This is a fantastic house in the heart of Portree! If we had had the chance, we could have walked down to the harbor. It was very clean and had everything you would need!

Best place!

This property was great! There were four adults that stayed and plenty of room to spread out (but not overly big). The bedrooms and bathrooms were wonderful. The town of portree is adorable but we mostly explored the surrounding areas. Parking is also very easy. We would definitely stay again.

Family Trip

We had a wonderful time visiting my mother-in-law’s hometown of Portree. This home was in a perfect location and suited our family quite well. It was clean and cozy. Our host was very responsive and thoughtful. We’d recommend this home to anyone looking to enjoy the Isle of Skye!

This property was the perfect spot for our family stay in Skye, safe, well-maintained, clean, and conveniently located. When we had a minor issue with an appliance, the owners responded immediately to our message and then went above and beyond to address our concern right away (which is so very difficult to do on Skye). We are so grateful for the opportunity to experience one of the most beautiful places imaginable from such a lovely home.

It was a lovely clean place to stay. We were asked ahead of time how we wanted bed configuration, it was suggested we could all have king beds (beds could be pushed together & made up as kings) well none of the 3 beds were like that when we got there. Other than that it was close to shops, places to eat and Portree was lovely

Quiet & Private

Four friends with plenty of room for each of us to have our own space. After sharing two rooms for the past 8 nights, it as great to be able to stretch out a bit in some private spaces. I will recommend that anyone who books bring their own soap as that was not readily available

Scotland 2025

The flat is as listed. It was clean and in good condition. Location is amazing for walking to the town center. Queen beds are futon which wasn’t ideal but surprisingly tolerable to sleep on. Water heating is on a timer so you will need to adjust to get hot water in the bathroom and kitchen sinks. Not a big deal if you know what you’re doing. I would absolutely stay again and recommend to others.

Good base for exploring Portree and Isle of Skye. Nice to have en-suites for every room. The less good:The garden was too overgrown to use. The clothes washer has no dryer. The advertised “fireplace” is really just a lamp and gives off no heat. And most offensive, the house is overwhelmingly perfumed with the artificial fragrance of febreeze and plug-ins; once we put those outside and aired out the place, we had a pretty comfortable stay. This place would be a really wonderful cottage with just a few small updates/upgrades.

This is a wonderful home in Portree. Every bedroom has its own bathroom. Very conveniently located, within walking distance of everything. Nice back yard with picnic table, the neighbours were helpful and very friendly. Kitchen was great to cook meals in. Large parking area was nice. We would definitely book this home again.

One of the most fully equipped properties that weve stayed at, and a very short walk tocentral Portree.A lovely cosy home with comfortable beds and clean, well maintained amenities.The only suggestion i would make is for some clear instructions about how to boost the heating outside the programmed operating hours for foreigners like ourselves who aren't familiar with similar systems.Thanks so much for a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend to visitors of Skye.
