The beautifully designed Art Senses was one of the best hotel experiences of my life. In feel it is somewhere between a boutique hotel and a gorgeous (but very livable) luxury apartment. The airy and well-equipped kitchen, and stunning private terrace, which I usually had to myself, make it seem as if your actual room is just the bedroom of a much more extensive residence. Everything is elegantly and also very thoughtfully designed, so that it is both luxurious, subtly impressive and yet comfortable. The architect who designed the place should get an award! The concierge who checks you in/out and cooks and serves your (enormous and super-tasty) breakfast is wonderfully kind and makes you feel as if you have your private butler. I tremendously enjoyed the extensive outdoor terrace, with its modern hammocks (like a suspended eggshell), gazebo, mesh loungers and outdoor dining table, particularly over a glass of wine that was so easy to pick up from the mini-supermarket just downstairs (which the hotel is amazingly sound proofed from, so I heard nothing of it and even on the terrace, very little street noise). The rainhead shower was correctly constructed (many are not), and the bathroom very spacious and inviting. The airconditioning was strong but super quiet. There is even a Nespresso machine not only in the kitchen, but in your own room, god bless 'em. Every single part of my two night stay was simply a joy. Don't miss out on staying here if you're ever in Porto.
