Stayed three nights, on two different trips through Porto Alegre.
Rooms are quite large, with ample desk space, reasonable internet speed, a microwave, fridge and dishes/utensils -- good for those tired of eating in restaurants (which I was). There's a big supermarket nearby.
Breakfast buffet is decent -- about standard for Brazilian hotels (which, however, generally cost 2x or 3x more, at least in bigger centres).
Gym on the roof is clean and all the equipment works, which is more than can be said for many other, more expensive hotels. Also a good view over the city.
The only drawback I experienced was in the one night I stayed in a room facing the street: too much noise from traffic (probably cobblestones). Better to go for an inside-facing room with no view.
Room service food was so-so.
