Our desk staff will always have recommendations for nearby options in the event that we sell out of our paid parking. Sorry to see that this expectation colored the experience of your stay so much. Hey Ali, the Jupiter Hotel is a classic Portland staple that is a favorite amongst travelers and locals for it's kitschy vibes, centralized location, and our unique approach to hospitality. We are not like other hotels and that's on purpose! We understand that we may not be to everyone's tastes but, as you said, there are other options in town if you prefer the more corporate standard. Because we are centrally located in a lively area, parking can be limited. We do offer a garage beneath the Jupiter Hotel and a lot right across the street from the hotel. We're sorry to hear you didn't enjoy Hey Love as much as we do. They did win this year's spirited awards for best hotel bar in the country, but we are lucky to be surrounded by some great walkable options! We are staffed 24 hours a day and are reachable via text if you'd rather stay cozy in your room.
