Curragh Cottage is one of two quaint historic one bedroom cottages in Port Fairy

Step inside the front door into your living space with gas log fire and large comfortable chairs that offer the best of the both worlds. Plenty of room to snuggle or enjoy your space to relax and unwind after a busy day exploring the town. In the living room there is a split system for whatever the weather might throw at you.Beside the living room is the spacious queen room with views onto the street. Relish a lazy lie-in in the morning with a cup of coffee as the world begins its day.

Through the living room you will find the large kitchen area which is equipped with electric stove top, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, toaster and all necessary utensils. There is a small dinning table for your use. Off the kitchen is the large bathroom equipped with corner spa bath and separate shower.

Curragh Cottage shares access with its sister cottage to the sunny courtyard with outdoor seating and Weber BBQ. (Please note due to the shared courtyard there is no smoking or vaping allowed) There is also access to a shared Laundry with washing machine, dryer, and ironing facilities.

Curragh Cottage offers you a divine mix of the historic and the modern for your next Port Fairy stay.

The cottage is located in quiet street, the bed was comfy, but the pillow is too soft for us, the kitchen is full of equipment to used and the spa bath was fantastic. and we noticed that they have many similar cottages around the town. some of really looking cute and nice to stay in for next visit.

The online photos presented the property as a bit better than the reality, it is quite sparsely furnished and a bit tired. Good points were the gas fire, a very nice bathroom, comfortable bed but instructions to guests both in online contacts and directions placed in the cottage came across as commands and we began to feel like cleaning staff with instructions before leaving! Port Fairy is a lovely place to visit and spend a few days there.

Very quaint cottage and exactly as advertised. It was very cozy especially when we had the fire going to escape the winter chill. It's great being such a short walk from town.If we were to nitpick, the clothing storage is a little lacking with the one flimsy hanging rack.

My only disappointment with Curragh Cottage was that no former tenants came to say hello . Obtuse I know, but I had the feeling there could have been a friendly spirit within those walls . Maybe next time or on a warmer night .
