The ideal destination for a long or a short break. The Apartment is fully equipped for all your holiday needs. Children are welcome. THE APARTMENT: Tranquility @ Hibiscus Gardens Resort - Apartment 11 is ideally located in the Resort, overlooking one of the 2 pools and away from the road noise. THE LOCATION: The apartment is in a 'favoured' position withing the Resort, just steps away from the on-site office with its helpful staff to arrange your tour and other needs. 4-Mile Beach is an easy (and level) 3-4 minute walk and both the Marina and the centre of Port Douglas, with its many shops, restaurants, cafes and other attractions are a similar short walk. Most guests do not worry about a car, as everything is within walking distance. ON SITE CAR PARKING: Guests enjoy free on-site undercover parking, which is only steps away from the apartment. This means your car is always nearby. ALL LINEN SUPPLIED: Apartment 11 is fully prepared for your stay, with freshly laundered sheets and pillow cases, that we obtain from the local laundry service, ensuring the highest standards of quality and hygiene. We also provide each of our guests with bath towels, a beach towel, 1 face cloth and shampoo/conditioner/soap. Tea, coffee, sugar salt & pepper are also provided for your arrival. COMPLIMENTARY CLEANS FOR STAYS OVER 8 NIGHTS: Apartment 11 is not a serviced Apartment, so we do not make up the room for you, but if you are staying more than 8 nights, we provide a complimentary mid stay clean and change of linen & toiletries. THE FACILITIES INSIDE THE APARTMENT: From the private balcony, you enter the Apartment, with its well equipped kitchenette (with full size fridge and 2 burner hotplates), open lounge room with daybed for a 3rd guest (if needed) and TV, leading through to the separately partitioned bedroom, with its queen size bed and onto the bathroom beyond. WIFI: Free Wifi is provided throughout the Resort. ACCESS: The Apartment is on the 1st floor, up an easy flight of stairs. Access to the Apartment from the stair well is by a private locking gate, that leads onto the spacious balcony, the perfect place to eat, enjoy a drink or to simply relax, whilst enjoying an open outlook (including over one of the Resort's pools). FACILITIES IN THE RESORT: The facilities of Hibiscus Gardens Resort are available for the use of guests, including the 2 swimming pools and the ever popular on-site Spa. There is a shared laundry for guests, that operates on a user pay basis. During the high season, guests may with the approval of the on site manager, enjoy on-site breakfasts (at a charge). ACCESS UPON ARRIVAL: A key safe has been installed on the balcony door, allowing Guests to let themselves into the Apartment upon arrival. This gives Guests total flexibility as to their arrival time. And being a Port Douglas local, your host is only a few minutes away if assistance is needed. The local bus operates out of Port Douglas for those guests who want to travel further afield. A perfect place to stay during my week stay in Port Douglas. It has everything you need for the perfect getaway. Nothing was forgotten by the owners and it was great they provided beach towels, salt and pepper, cling wrap - all this things you don't realise you may need on a holiday! This property is so close to the Main Street and only short walk to the surf club and beach. The whole resort has a lovely feel and the atmosphere makes you feel you're a long way from home. Peter and Keiko were great to deal with and always very friendly and helpful. The apartment itself is situated in a well maintained complex and is an ideal size for 2 adults and one child. The mid stay clean was an added bonus. Bathroom too had good lighting but a small bath (not that that was a problem for us). The kitchen area was small but, again, had everything we needed apart from an oven. Loved the nice big balcony which was used as a dining area. Everything was clean and nicely decorated. Very relaxed yet comfortable place. Partial pool views. Only slight negative we found was that it can be a bit noisy from delivery trucks in the morning. COMPLEX: The complex itself is a lot nicer than any other similarly priced ones we looked at. Very well located, being half way between beach and shops. great place to stay. HOSTS: Our hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. We stayed here with our 16 month old and they provided us with the use of a high-chair and port-a-cot (which they had just gone out and purchased brand new). We had also enquired about a blender which they also provided us with so they certainly go out of there way to help out. STAY AGAIN? All things being the same, we would definitely stay again. We had spent a lot of time searching for the best accommodation to suite our needs but if we were in the same situation next time then we would skip that and just see if this unit is available again (we are expecting our second child in a few months time so I don't think we will be able so stay I a 1 bedroom next time though). ##### Paul D. This apartment is in the perfect spot: close to the beach, close to the shops and restaurants and still very quiet. I didn't have a car there and I was able to walk everywhere. I loved having the kitchen to make my own meals and then enjoying them on the outdoor patio. The owners take special care of this apartment and keep it very clean. They also met me upon arrival and showed me around the area, which made my stay even better. I highly recommend this property! The unit was clean and had everything you need at your finger tips. Only a short stroll 2 mins to macrossan St. Peter and Keiko are lovely hosts and made sure I had everything I needed for a great stay!!
