"We had a great stay at the Shell Island Resort. The location and access to the beach was great. The ocean view from the room was fabulous. It was nice to have the suite and an extra bathroom. This really helped when getting ready. The staff was great. The food at the restaurant was just ok, but service was really good. We only went once for breakfast. Renting the chairs was easy and super convenient. The hotel is not a luxury hotel, but it was clean and loved the ocean access and views. I would stay there again for sure."

"We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is a great location and less than 10 minutes to the beach! The room was good, not great. There was sand in the bathtub when we arrived and trash under the pullout sofa. The bathroom was spacious. Loved the large closet for extra space. Comfy beds. Unfortunately, I can't leave a review for the pool. We went to use it one evening and a child had used the bathroom in the pool. The family didn't tell the staff so I went in and reported what I had heard. The lady at the desk didn't seem to know what to do so I wasn't confident that it was going to be sanitized properly so we didn't attempt to use the pool again. Another unfortunate event was being woken up super early by a dog barking in the room next to us for an hour. I reported it to the front desk. He said they weren't supposed to have a dog and he would handle it. Later, after a day at the beach, we returned to the dog barking. I once again, called down to the desk, in which the girl said she would handle it and get back to me (she didn't). We then went out shopping and when we returned the dog was barking again. This time I went down to the front desk. Although she was "unsure of the policy" (which confused me - clearly you can't have dogs barking in your hotel), she did end up figuring things out and called them while I stood there and handled it. It should not have taken me complaining three times to get it handled. Overall, it was a good experience and we would stay here again."

"We will definitely be booking here again, not only were they amazing host and response time was fast with questions, but the house was one of the cleanest we have stayed in and such a cute place! I would 1000% recommend!"

"Excellent accommodations! This unit was perfect for my needs, and the host provided great communication and everything that I needed for my 2 night stay. Room was clean, private, and secure. The AC provided a very cool and comfortable environment during some hot days outside. Parking was right next to the unit (on grass, but a firm surface). There is a little private outdoor area for the unit with a couple chairs and table that was great for sitting outside on a nice evening. I would definitely return here if I have a future need to stay in the Wilmington area."
