Cantinho da Mikaela, a Home in Madeira

Cantinho da Mikaela is an independent part of a house in a rural setting near the town of Ponta do Sol, recommended for hikers, sports enthusiasts, and anyone who wants to get away from urban centres.

The accommodation has an area of approximately 45 m² and includes a bedroom with a queen-size double bed (160 × 200 cm), a bedroom with two single beds, one of them a trundle bed (90 × 190 cm), a bathroom with shower, a small living room and a kitchen with dining table.

Outside, there is a spacious balcony with sun loungers and a table for outdoor dining. There is also a free parking space for guests.

It also includes a refrigerator, a ceramic hob, an oven, a microwave, a coffee machine and other utensils, as well as bed linen, towels, fans, Wi-Fi (60 Mbps), a TV with international channels and other amenities for a pleasant and relaxing stay.



📍 NEIGHBOURHOOD

The accommodation is located in a rural area 450 m from sea level and 6 km from the town of Ponta do Sol, where there is a beach and some restaurants and cafés.

About 500 m away there is a restaurant and café, and 2 km away there is a supermarket.

Ponta do Sol lies in the south-west of the island, the area of Madeira with the best weather conditions.

A few kilometres away, there are impressive cliffs, mountains and Laurisilva forest for nature lovers.

For hikers and mountain bikers, there are recommended walking routes and mountain bike trails just a few kilometres away, particularly in Paul da Serra.

A car is recommended; some access roads are steep and narrow.

The lower floor of the house is reserved for the owner.

Rural area, with insects and lizards naturally present and possible noise from dogs and other domestic animals on neighbouring properties.

There is minor building work at a house in the neighbourhood, which may cause noise during the day.

Weekly maintenance cleaning, including a change of bed linen and towels.

The accommodation does not have air conditioning or a washing machine.

We strongly recommend that guests purchase travel insurance covering cancellations or other unforeseen circumstances that may prevent their stay.

If you have special needs or allergies, please contact us before booking so we can confirm whether we are able to accommodate them.

Due to the island's location and climate, the presence of insects and small lizards is natural, and they may be attracted by food scraps. We kindly ask that you keep surfaces clean and food properly stored.

For those sensitive to mosquito bites, we recommend using repellent when getting around the island.

An online pre-check-in form will be sent to collect the identification details required by law.

In-person check-in is by prior appointment. We will wait up to 60 minutes after the scheduled time; beyond that, it may be necessary to arrange a new time.

So that we can resolve any issue promptly, we ask that you report any faults or cleaning shortcomings immediately. Reports made after check-out may no longer be verified or resolved.
