Pont-L'Evèque hat einen bezaubernden Ortskern mit französischem Charme und Fachwerkhäusern typisch für die Region Calvados. Alles für das tägliches Leben kriegt man vor Ort. Die Kleinstadt ist eingebettet in der schönen Landschaft des Pay d'Auge mit Flüssen, Seen, Weiden, Bauernhöfen. Wir waren zu Viert (Eltern, zwei Jungs, 16 und 21) eine Woche in Pont-L'Evèque, von wo aus wir mit Zug und Bus die nahe Küste (Côte Fleurie) und die Stadt Bayeux und mit gemieteten Fahrrädern die Umgebung erkundeten. Das Appartement hat neben Wohnraum und Einbauküche zwei geräumige Schlafzimmer mit akzeptablen bis guten Matratzen. Es ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und es fehlt an nichts. Es liegt im historisch-alten Teil des Ortskerns, die Fenster zu Straße hin sind erfreulicherweise absolut schalldicht.
