Guesthouse Árný

8/10 Good
"The island is beautiful and worth the trip. The place is fine for a night or two, but it is just a room and you compete for two bathrooms with 6-7 other rooms full of people. No breakfast and we did not see the host at all."

"Enjoyed our one night at the Hamar Guesthouse. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Location on this small island was great and an easy walk to everything--restuarants, harbor, stores, hikes, etc. Parking on the site was limited but parking on the island is free so you can pretty much park on the street in front and everywhere all day. Would highly recommend if you are visiting Haimaey and Vestmannaeyjar!"

10/10 Excellent
"Five of us travelling together.Family trip because we decided to have adventures instead of “stuff” for birthdays (although we did buy some stuff anyways ;) When we arrived at Pier Apartments it was just receiving the last few minutes of prep for us. Very friendly kind staff working on it and when we walked in to our apartment (#3) I think all our jaws dropped because it was so incredibly lovely .Sometimes in photos you feel like you are crossing your fingers that a place is as good as it looks online but Pier Apartments exceeded our expectations. We have been travelling around Iceland clockwise ,camping for 2 days and staying in a hotel or apartment every 3rd day.Pier was that place that felt like we just walked in to a place where we could spread out, make meals in the large open kitchen, relax in several cozy areas and with 270 degrees of views and a lovely long deck,it truly was worth it. Fabulous shower, kitchen, island to sit at while food prepping ,tv area with the most amazing comfy gorgeous couch and chairs! Shampoo and conditioner, laundry room with detergent and a rack for clothes that shouldn’t go in the dryer, walking distance to 2 grocery stores.30 second drive to get on the ferry. Cafe 3 minute walk away and the beluga/puffin sanctuary about a 5 minute walk. The Bakery across the street from the beluga/puffin sanctuary has vegan and vegetable options and great seating. Shopping is about a 10 minute walk from Pier. Hundreds of puffins within a 9 minute drive."

"This place was so cute! Woke up in the morning to open the blinds with horses outside my window. Be sure to call to get the code for the lock box that your key is in. We showed up when it was dark. I was not completely sure which cottage was mine, but figured it out because it was the only one with the lights out. My other tip would be to pack a towel if you plan on staying here."
