We are proud to offer you this charming 4-bedroom house located in the old town of the beautiful town of Pollensa. The property has recently been the subject of a careful and careful renovation process that has managed to retain the original essence of the home, and during which high quality materials have been used. The house, with capacity for 8 people, is distributed over two floors. Upon entering we find a dining room with air conditioning and a spacious living room also equipped with air conditioning, as well as comfortable sofas, flat screen TV, DVD and satellite television. If we continue deeper, a few steps lead us to a modern kitchen, fully equipped with a ceramic hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer.Likewise, next to the kitchen (which has direct access to the pool area and terraces) there is a really spacious pantry. The rest area is located on the upper floor. There are 4 bedrooms in total: 2 double rooms (both with en-suite bathrooms), and 2 double rooms that share a third bathroom. All rooms have built-in wardrobes and air conditioning units. In addition, one of the double rooms also has direct access to the pool area, as well as a second upper terrace that offers a beautiful panoramic view of the town of Pollensa, and whose views reach the bay of Puerto de Pollensa.The interior courtyard has truly been designed with great tact and taste, and its elegant pool is surrounded by a terrace beautifully illuminated at night. This area, close to some homes in the neighborhood, is a great plus, since it is really very difficult to find houses that are so central, but that at the same time have such a large interior patio. And, in addition to the pool, we must add an outdoor shower, a terrace equipped with sun loungers, a toilet, and a fantastic covered barbecue equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, sink, refrigerator/freezer... and equipped with outdoor furniture that It will delight those who enjoy cooking and/or eating outdoors.In short, Horta 55 is a central and elegant home located in Pollença, one of the most attractive and traditional towns on the island. It is the perfect choice to enjoy a more authentic vacation, and still with the beaches just 10 minutes away by car. It is located right in the heart of the town, just 200 meters from its Plaza Mayor (with its fantastic Sunday market, and a great selection of bars, restaurants and shops), as well as the famous Calvary staircase.Although these are the two most renowned places in Pollença, we also advise you to let yourself be intoxicated by the atmosphere and essence of the town itself, letting yourself get lost in the small streets, and discovering the small museums, art galleries, churches, restaurants and shops. Please note that the streets of the old town are not the most suitable for traffic. Fortunately for you, Horta 55 has a small garage with a permanent ford, which will be really useful for loading and unloading functions. We always recommend having your own vehicle, as it will give you freedom of movement and allow you to visit other towns on the island. However, it is by no means essential.Therefore, if you choose to do without a rental vehicle, you can also enjoy the sea with the bus lines that go to both the beaches of Cala San Vicente and those of Puerto Pollensa (both enclaves just 7 km away. ). Taking a taxi is an equally valid option. Also note that between the end of July and until August 2, the patron saint festivities are celebrated with great passion. August 2 (“Patron Saint's Day”) is the most important day, and is undoubtedly one of the liveliest and most picturesque popular expressions on the entire island, and one that the entire town lives with great fervor.The Holy Week Procession also stands out, and especially the “Devallament” (the lowering of the cross of Jesus Christ) that takes place on the night of Good Friday. The image of the Reclining Christ is lowered from the Calvary oratory (located on a hill overlooking the town) to the parish. The procession passes in the midst of great silence, while descending the 365 steps of Calvary flanked by torches and its centuries-old cypresses. -
