Stupendous rural location. Entirely walkable from the railway station and to various supermarkets/boulangerie although perhaps slightly easier with a car. Very approachable owners, together with a friendly dog. Pure chance that we managed to catch the owner early afternoon, because the official check-in was from 5 pm, but we had no knowledge of this because Hotels.com had not included it on their website! Very clean & clutter-free & definitely recommended :-)

Just to be clear my scoring system: 1/ Don't go, just don't. 2/ I can't recommend going 3/ I enjoyed it but probably won't go back 4/ I enjoyed it, would go back especially if invited 5/ I enjoyed it, would invite others there myself Complete luck we found this place but it is AMAZING! After introducing myself with my very best French I was answered with a handshake and in a full English accent "Shall we speak English? I'm John!" The decor, garden facilities are only equalled by the homemade...

Just stayed one night and it’s one of the best places I’ve ever stayed, very peaceful and great value for money.

This is a singularly perfect hotel, service, food, rooms, location are all exceptional. The staff are attentive with grace and warmth of a family château and I would highly recommend a stay here.

Lovely traditional farmhouse in a beautiful, quiet rural setting and very dog-friendly. Sandrine is an excellent host, providing us with a delicious dinner and breakfast. Our room & bathroom were spotless and very comfortable. This was our first visit, but we will definitely be back!

Very good accomodation and excellent evening meal

Stunning property with a beautiful pool and the most stunning family room with connecting bathroom so we could stay close to our teens :) We only stayed one night, the four poster bed was so comfortable, the linnen sheets helped me sleep like a baby! There was a lovely room to watch tv or play games and the breakfast was lovely, wish we had stayed longer! Merci Valerie ❤️

The property is situated in the countryside, with its own swimming pool. The host is exceptionally helpful, capable and friendly. The breakfast, and the evening meal (extra), he provided was very good and used much local produce. The room itself was large, clean and well provided, while the walk-in shower and bathroom were very spacious. All in all, an excellent place to stay

Clean quite excellent location

A great last minute find, as we wanted to get to Mortagne sur Gironde. A beautiful restoration of a large house by the hard work of the hosts, Suzanne and her husband! Unfortunately, we could only stay for just the ONE night ..... but we could see that it would a be lovely place to relax and unwind over several days, especially with this property having a lovely large swimming pool (which gets cleaned by a robot hose with small underwater tractor unit - amazing!

Although it’s unassuming when you arrive the back of the property is beautiful, with a terrace, pool and riverbank. Great start, great dinner and breakfast, spotlessly clean room. We enjoyed our stay and would have liked to stay longer.
