The Other Place is a beautiful two bedroom cabin nestled in the woods with easy access to Snow Beach.
Vacationing on Bois Blanc Island offers the opportunity to relax and recharge however you choose. Unplug and spend time with loved ones while appreciating all that the island has to offer. Enjoy hearing the leaves rustle in the wind while walking through a natural forest, savor a relaxing sunny day on a sandy beach, kayak around an inland lake, fish in Lake Huron, visit the old Coast Guard Chapel, or drive to the west end at dusk to admire the sunset behind the Mackinac bridge. Explore Pointe Aux Pins and see the active one room schoolhouse, township dock, gazebo, Episcopal church, historical museum, and post office.

This small cabin is tucked in the woods, just off the main road around Bois Blanc Island in the Mackinac Straits. The easily accessible lakefront has one of the few sandy beaches. My daughter, her husband, and their two Border Collies shared this rental with me. It was cozy and well-equipped. There is no WiFi, but a lazy, secluded vacation on this island gem doesn't need WiFi!A great time all around and the host was polite and very responsive to any questions we had.
