"We had a very good time at the house. It was comfortable, very clean and had all the amenities we needed. We enjoyed the location a lot since it wasn't in a busy part of town but within 5 minutes of our whale watch and 15 minutes to downtown. I was not clear that it was a duplex but we didn't have any issue with outside noise. Very nicely kept."

"This place was perfect for us! This was our first trip to Juneau and Alaska, so we wanted to get a broad picture of the area. Hillside Haven was close to plenty of amenities and services, but well away from the cruise ship crowds of downtown. We rented a car, so we were able to spend a few half days downtown enjoying the restaurants and other attractions, and the rest of the time out exploring on our own, up and down the coast, the glacier, and Douglas Island.We were able to rent a kayak and arrange a separate whale watching excursion, both at Auke Bay just a couple of miles down the road. The Alaska State Ferry terminal is also at Auke Bay, but on the northern end, so it is literally walking distance away from the suite (1/2 mile or so if I had to guess).Theresa and Tommy were the great hosts. They gave us the perfect balance of privacy to do our thing, but Theresa was always available to answer any questions about the place or the surrounding amenities in the area if we needed help.The place was clean and comfortable, and had a well appointed kitchen, bathroom and even access to a laundry room. To top it off, the steam shower / hot tub also felt really nice after spending a couple of cooler rainy days out exploring in our rain gear.We would definitely stay here again!"

"This was a very nice property, much better than any hotel. Exceptionally clean. Great communication with host. Auke Bay is growing, many food and drink options. The room has everything you need to prepare food, hot plate, pots, pans, utensils. Very generous with towels, lovely soaps, spacious fridge, espresso as well as a tea pot and a pour over. Bed is large, comfortable, linens are luxurious, duvet and extra blanket. The tilting/ adjustable bed side lighting was perfect for reading and a plush carpet so feet don’t hit a cold floor, heavy curtains to block out light, a generous closet with shelving and hangers. The host thought of everything,"
Juneau Oceanfront Home Overlooking Auke Bay

"This property was truly amazing for our stay in Juneau! We spent our mornings drinking coffee and watching the Eagles in Auke Bay right out on the deck! You can also see the seals swimming there and they are so cute! There is a small beach below we ventured down to and got a few shells one day. The home was so cozy and had everything we needed and things we didn’t have Ben expect like organic coffee beans and some other items. It is far enough from the touristy sites to have peace and just close enough to check them out if you choose to venture out. It was about 7 min from the airport and actually really close to a glacier we drove to ourselves and didn’t have to pay for a hefty priced tour to one! We did pay for a whale tour and much was just magical and would highly recommend that! The home is close to gas, a few restaurants and a gas station that has most things you would need on vacation and even has fresh donuts and sandwiches daily for breakfast and other meals as well as liquor so you don’t have to go far. Little one stop shop!"
