Our bright & airy modern farmhouse raised chalet is tucked away on a private wooded lot & a short drive to amazing hiking trails, golf, fishing, ATVs, water sports, waterparks & skiing - Kalahari (8 mins), Camelback/Aquatopia (15 mins). We aimed to create a special getaway for families and friends looking to get a break from everyday life and enjoy some time together. Though you need membership to access all of Lake Naomi’s amenities- there is soooo much to do around the area without it. Note: quiet hours are 11pm-7am. Security does monitor noise complaints. It's also very close to a few family restaurants, a nice ice cream stand and a dunkin donuts. Inside it feels very reminiscent of what a family trip from the 90s would feel like, with lots of things to play with for the kids and not many things that the kids could possibly break or get hurt on. Very close to the waterparks and the Lake Naomi amenities were fantastic. Beaches were in great shape and the indoor pool with splash pad was perfect for the kids. Hot tub appeared to be brand new. Nerve wracking as the wife and mom planning a major holiday with in laws staying as well (!) but the home owners were easy to talk to. The property was clean and well stocked. We were able to bring our dog - huge plus. It seems like there are a lot of rules when you read their booking email but to be honest, it’s all normal behaviors of respectable adults and I’m sure they’ve run into different issues in the past. Nice house, cozy rooms and comfy couches. Kitchen easy to use, well stocked. I don't know if we were one of the first renters of the season, but we had to dig around a lot -- assemble the ping pong table (nontrivial!), dig out cushions for the seating on the porch, etc. I think they had done some renovations and were still working out the kinks, but none of that bothered us, and they were easy to contact when needed. The home was just like in the pictures. We hopped out of the car and my son (5yrs old) quickly started exploring. At every turn he was ecstatic to find all sorts of toys, games, s’more buliding materials and comfy places to snuggles. For my husband and myself, we were grateful for a clean spacious place to rest and enjoy each other’s company. We enjoyed meals on the deck, using lake equipment during the day, and watching the NBA finals at night on the comfy couch. The kitchen was fully stocked the essentials so it was easy to prepare meals. And the amenities were endless. Honestly we couldn’t partake in all that there was in the time we were there! Kristen and Stephen were fantastic hosts. Prior to our stay, they communicated often and were always available to answer our questions. During our stay, if we had a question or needed clarification on anything, they were quick to get back to us and help with solutions for any small issue that may have arisen. We loved their home, so cozy and just as pictured. Anything we needed was available and all cleaned immaculately prior to our arrival.
