The room that we were given when we returned from a one-day tour (702) and which we stayed in for six nights was substandard. The paint on the walls in the room was chipped and peeling, there was a stain on the carpet, part of the door frame was ripped out, the room frequently smelled of cigarette smoke and had to be aired out, the bathroom faucet wobbled, there was no cabinet around the bathroom sink (as there was in 902), the shower curtain went straight across, but the bathtub was circular, so the floor was routinely flooded after showering. The hallway on the 7th floor near our room, needed painting. Breakfast had a variety of food and was tasty. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Table service staff in the bar never seemed to be happy. The night that we arrived there was a power outage that affected the entire area around the hotel, including the hotel, so we were unable to check in. Hotel staff were friendly, efficient, and professional, and made our wait as good as possible in those circumstances. Het bed voelde je de vering door de matras. Bubbelbad deed het niet. Automaat van de vruchtensappen deed het niet. Dit was allebei de ochtenden dat wij er waren het geval. Als de logees dit meldden, werden de schouders opgehaald. Dit was makkelijk op te lossen door een paar pakken jus d'orange neer te zetten. L'albergo si trova in posizione strategica, essendo assai vicino non solo al centro di Plovdiv ma anche alla stazione degli autobus provenienti da Sofia. Arredamento un po' sgargiante ma simpatico. Piuttosto scomodo il bagno, a causa dello spazio ridotto del water e di una vasca-doccia poco pratica. Nice hotel near center with basic services. Only two things were not so good. 1\. It was really hot at summer, and the air conditioning in the rooms was really insufficient. The machine was at full setting and it was not enough for room that size. 2\. De kamers zijn oké, maar wie bedenkt het om een douche, zonder scherm of gordijn midden in de badkamer te plaatsen. 1 groot waterballet dus... Na de eerste nacht alleen een paar nieuwe handdoeken en geen schoonmaak of opgemaakte bedden. Na de 2e nacht alleen nadat we er om vroegen. Het ontbijt is mager, zeer beperkte keuze en slecht aangevuld. Het leek er op dat de gebakken eieren in de warmhoudbak die over waren op de eerste dag, de 2e dag weer terug gelegd waren... Het personeel is wel vriendelijk, maar wij waren blij dat ons bezoek er op zat. Obwohl es am Anfang mit dem Check-in einige Verzögerungen gab (wegen einer Hochzeit im Hotel), hat eigentlich alles gut geklappt - das Mädchen an der Rezeption hat uns den Schlüssel fürs Zimmer gegeben, so dass wir unser Gepäck hochbringen und dann in aller Ruhe die Stadt erkundigen können. Frühstück war mittelmäßig, dafür aber vielfältig.
