Jennifer was such a very easy and communicative host. House is very well stocked, nice fluffy towels, plenty of space and clean. We had a wonderful trip to Elk. This is our second year visiting this home and we hope to be back again.
The house was great. Clean, cozy and spacious. There was room for everyone in our large group snowboarding at elk mountain (a little over 20 min away).
Jennifer was a great host, very communicative. The property is really beautiful and the sunsets/sunrises were wonderful to watch from the porch and the fire pit! The pictures from the listing were accurate. Overall a great stay
We had an amazing time. The house is really nice & views are incredible. The kids went sledding in backyard which was awesome. Jennifer was really quick to respond and help with anything needed. One thing that should be disclosed in the listing is that two of the top floor bedrooms are railroad style.
We really enjoyed the seclusion of the property, it truly felt like a getaway. The house was very clean upon arrival and the kitchen was the perfect size for our group. Overall we had a great stay. The only critique I would have is that I did not realize that the only way to access one of the rooms was to walk through another. Perhaps I did not read the listing thoroughly but I was unaware of that condition.
Had 10 (50) friends get together for a long weekend in the mountains. The property is better than expected and the photos are accurate. Everyone had a bed which made this the right place. Great location and area for hiking. We were there in winter so unable to use the pool or pond, but that didn’t matter.Plenty of space for everyone. Multiple refrigerators, coffee machines and other great kitchen items for Cooking. The owners are great, easy to communicate with and very flexible / helpful, including getting us some wood (we paid), delivered and stacked for our long, frigid weekend. Will be back, maybe even in the summer!
We had a great few days here in Pleasant Mount. We have a family of 15 with grandchildren ages 8-17. The house was very comfortable for all of us. The boys loved fishing in the pond and all of us had fun in the pool and playing pickleball when the rain stopped. The house was very well equipped and clean. We ate many meals at home. Most days were very rainy and cloudy but we had fun inside with plenty of room for us to play games and cards. The host Jennifer was very available to contact with questions and got back to us very quickly. We chose this home because one family had a son playing in a tournament in Cooperstown and this property was only about an hour and forty five minutes from Cooperstown so they were able to head off from Pleasant Mount to Cooperstown.
We had a wonderful stay! The house is great for large groups, we had 7 people and had lots of extra beds. The guest house is perfect for teenagers that want to feel a bit of freedom! We came from NYC so our teenagers loved having the space. The kitchen is well appointed and the house is clean and cozy. The property it’s self was stunning. We definitely saw the eagles more than a few times. The pool and hot tub were perfect. Clean and well manicured. We spent every night around the fire pit making s’mores…it was special! Jennifer, the host was amazing. She is very responsive and answered every question we had nearly immediately. The one thing I would say is that the property really is far from civilization. We read other reviews so we prepared and brought all of our groceries and necessities with us. I wouldn’t plan to go out to dinner and if you need groceries, the nearest super market is about 30 mins away. Thank you Jennifer for a fabulous week. We very much enjoyed your property!
From the moment we entered the house to the day we left we felt like we were home . This home is quaint, super comfortable, spacious, bright, and cheery. The decor fit the property perfectly. The house was super clean and equipped with everything and more, what you didn’t expect (such as a decanter for the incredible red wine our host left upon arrival) was impressively found. Jennifer is the perfect host. She was very attentive to any question during our stay. The backyard was calm, peaceful, and beautiful for miles and miles. From the pool/spa to the pond to the tennis court and the fire pit, there was plenty for us to do. The outdoors, coupled with visits from the gaggle of geese, the deer and her fawn, the cutest little chipmunk who was very friendly, and the frog near the pool, gave a much needed feeling of well-being as one with Mother Earth . . . we will definitely be back, but next time, with family!
We went with a group of friends and the house was perfect. The yard was great for the families to play and be outside. The host was so nice and always responded right away. The house was fully stocked. We had a great stay!
Perfect property for our extended family getaway. Plenty of bedroom and sleeping space and so much to do outside with beautiful scenery. Kitchen and bathrooms were a little small for our big group, but otherwise it was perfect.
We had a great family vacation here, coming in from various parts of the country. The fire pit, fishing, pickle ball, pool, hot tub, bald eagles, shooting stars and scenic views were just a few of the highlights! Gorgeous property and very responsive answers to questions etc
Gorgeous property and lovely pool. Home was spacious and comfortable. Had minor issues with check-in and hot water, both of which were resolved in a very timely manner. Adults and children had a wonderful time here.
Entire family had a great time. Between swimming, fishing, tennis, basketball and other activities, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The nightly outdoor fire was a great way to end the day and reconnect with the family. We saw plenty of deer and rabbits. We also saw an eagle pluck a fish out of the pond! Definitely looking forward to returning!
Gorgeous property and our kids had a blast at the pool, fishing pond, and doing s’mores at night. The property manager was super helpful and responsive. Just a note that the majority of the neighbors have trump/pence signs, so as a person of color I was wary of leaving the property.
What a fantastic property! My family and I spent five days here to celebrate my accomplishment of becoming a doctor. It was the perfect place for R&R after a long journey of schooling. If you're looking for a peaceful spot with lots of mountain views, wildlife, privacy, stargazing, and beautiful sunrises, this is the place! And while we didn't get a chance to see the bald eagles, we helped nurse a bird back to consciousness after flying into a window! I would highly recommend booking this place and hope to come back soon.
The property was absolutely stunning both inside and out. As others have mentioned the house was immaculate and the views were just amazing. My group of friends enjoyed our stay and cooking in the large and well stocked kitchen. Property manager was very responsive and helpful. There is a decent market only 4 miles away (Arlos) for any basic needs. Pool area was fantastic and nicely heated. It got a bit cold during our stay and we took advantage of the firepit with those amazing views. Perfect stay and we will be back. Thank you!
Harmony Hill is an exceptional place to escape and relax. Have stayed at this unique and wonderful property twice now and each time have been blown away by the views, pool, and beauty of the property. Kiddos enjoyed being able to wonder around the 40 acres. Adults enjoyed having happy and entertained kiddos along with plenty of pickle ball, campfires and relaxation. Check in couldn't be easier. Property owners and management team are exceptionally easy to interact with and wonderfully kind. I'll probably be posting my third review of this exceptional getaway next summer!
I visited this property with my wife and two children. The home is very clean and well designed. The main house can sleep 8-10 people comfortably. The views from this home would be hard to match. If you like to watch the sunrise with a cup of coffee you will really appreciate the master bedroom balcony. The guest house is also great. If you are going with multiple families or different age groups it can give you the separation you may need and also very clean with great views. The property has a lot to offer. My kids were outside fishing and hiking all day. The pond is well stocked. The pool and sports court are also great. The host is accommodating and always responds quickly. I’ve stayed at multiple properties and this property exceeded my expectations and was by far the best. I look forward to going back.
My extended family of ten was meeting for a week together, ranging in ages from 8 to 78. This was a perfect place for us to all get away -- we initially had plans for day trips but with the exception of a quick run to the grocery store and foray to Creamworks Creamery for ice cream, no one ever wanted to leave. There is so much to do -- for those who want to do nothing but sit by the pool it was a fantastic pool to sit by. It was warm, it was beautiful to sit and read and look out at the endless mountains: just awesome siting! For the kids and restless folks who want to do more, there is catch and release fishing in the pond, there is a sports court that got a lot of use for basketball and pickle ball. And for the kids there is just exploring, going on adventures through the woods looking for the creek and finding animals: woodchucks, chipmunks, eagles, hawks, finches... We cooked a lot and the local market had basic supplies, but I would recommend bringing special things you may need or want from home which we did and the house was well stocked with basic equipment, but knowing in advance there were a few things we might want to make that required special equipment I emailed Jennifer in advance and she quickly let me know what they did have and what they did not so I knew what to bring (like muffin tins and a tart pan). We ended most nights roasting s'mores at the fire pit which was another big hit with everyone. Finally, the layout of the house worked great for our three family units. It worked out that the kids decided they wanted to stay together in the guest house and so the adults all got their own rooms in the main house. That made it fun for everyone (kids felt grown-up but still rambled in for meals but had some privacy and played their own games and could hang out on their own without us), while the adults could have some more quiet downtime. My only one recommendation would be additional outdoor seating on the back deck. For all the folks the house accommodates, we often ran out of seating when we were all together out there in the evenings. Otherwise, I can not say enough wonderful things about this property.
If you want an escape to the Eastern PA Countryside but are ready for a change from the Pocono Lake communities - book this right now! You'll be on your own secluded 44 acres enjoying one of the most magnificent views you'll ever see. Even better - those views are taken in from a well designed, comfortable and stunning modern home, one of the most beautifully located pools I've ever seen and even from a basketball/tennis court (mini) that will keep you and your family entertained for days.
The house (main and guest) were exceptionally clean and welcoming with ample towels and linens. The outdoor areas were beautifully landscaped and maintained, bedroom layouts made family sleep accommodations simple and easy and the kitchen was well equipped for easy meal prep.
Would recommend packing your own food as restaurants and grocery stores are a bit away and if you or your family are susceptible to car sickness consider a Dramamine on the drive in as the roads are a bit windy. But being away from it all is part of the charm and once your own this amazing property you won't want to leave. If you're like us - you'll spend your final night around a fire pit with an 80 mile view into the Endless Mountains planning your next trip back to Harmony Hill!
