"My sister and I stayed for a mini break and the hotel was perfect in many ways. Location excellent, quiet, but a nice stroll into the centre along the waters edge in about 15 minutes. The food was excellent, so much choice and the restaurant was really lovely, nice interiors and gorgeous view of the bay. Our room was nice, apart from the drain smell, but you soon learn to keep a towel over the shower drain. (The cleaner showed us this!) We stayed in a suite which was lovely as we had a lot of space and big loungers on the terrace but the only drawback about these rooms was they were level 1 and right above the bar, so the music was really loud at night. But it wouldn’t put me off coming back. We really enjoyed it."

"Natalia on reception couldn’t have been more helpful, taking us to the pharmacy & getting a Dr’s appointment..Nothing seems to be too much trouble from all the staff we have encountered.. Spa & treatments amazing.. Breakfast & meals in the hotel outstanding truly 5 star. "

"Fantastic hotel in a great location, room with balcony sea view was nice, pool area is good with plenty of sunbeds but the towels are out early but always found a couple, breakfast is good but could of done with some granola for the yogurt, evening meal was always good with plenty of options & a themed night every night, every thing was fresh & tasty & imo its well worth having the evening meal, all in all its a very nice hotel & i wouldn't think twice about returning. If there is a negative its that there is no smoking area & they have plenty of outdoor space to include one, you had to go & stand by the front entrance to smoke which isn't very nice, i spoke to afew smokers & non smokers & no one liked it & it looks bad for the hotel when you got a group standing there smoking but it's a nice hotel & it wouldn't stop me from returning. "

"I stayed in this hotel with two of my friends (three of us in total). When we arrived to check in the staff were very friendly, approachable and could speak good english. They explained very clearly everthing we needed to know about the hotel. By the recepetion desk were we checked in was a small shop which was good for buying snacks and water. The lift there felt a bit shaky when using it and it took ages to get to our floor and so for most of the time we opted to use the stairs to get to our room. Within the room the bedrooms were a good size for what we payed for and it had two beds side by side, air conditioning, and an open wardrobe that had 4 hangers. The matresses for the beds were fairly comfortable. In the living room was a small sofa that had a pull-out sofa bed and again that mattress was fairly comfortable but not as comfortable as the bed matresses. The kitchen had cups,mugs, plates, knifes, forks, small and large spoons, a bread knife, a small frying pan, a fridge, a microwave, a toaster, a kettle, a large pot, a pan, two spatulas and two hobs. I would say that the kitcken is best used for making simple meals but i would not use it to make anything complicated. The room also came with a balcony that gave you a good view of Santa Ponca and it came with two chairs and a table. In the room was air conditioning was in the bedroom and the living room which was very good at keeping you warm during the day but at night it can get very warm. Overall good value for money"

" Honestly everything was great once we got there but the service before? Was awful. AWFUL. I wanted to add a guest to my reservation and I could not get in contact with them. I travel a lot and this was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I tried to reach out to the hotel 6 times. I called and they answered but once I said “Hello?”, They hung up on me immediately. I then got a friend who spoke Spanish and they continued the conversation. This happened 3 times and refused to help me with my issue. I used the contact form on the website, I emailed them all over a month in advance, and no response. I even asked Expedia for help and they refused to amend my reservation or offer assistance. So when I got there, the lady working did not apologize nor offer kindness or regret about what had happened. Instead she charged us more than we paid for the initial booking and more than the Bahia Del Sol website price for a double room for two people. This would not had been such a hassle for any other hotel I’ve been to. Nor would it have been such a steep fee when the room already held space for two people. I’m thoroughly disappointed especially since it is a beautiful resort. "
