Absolutely bad experience! We had to cancel our trip to Grand Gennadi at Rhodes after the fires this August and last minute booked this hotel in Crete advertised as a 4 star hotel. The morning we arrived we used the lobby washrooms and they were worse/dirtier than the type of washrooms you use at the beach. We visited the breakfast buffet and everything was messy, Nutella on the buffet tables spread everywhere with flies all over. Extremely noisy and crowded like an IKEA food court. This is definitely not a 4 star experience. We haven't had the chance to check in and get to our room since we were at the hotel at 8:30 am and contacted Expedia to get a refund since we were travelling along with our 2 kids and didn't want to waste our vacation altogether. We were reassured by the agent that the hotel manager will make an exception and we were on the phone for 5-6 hours on hold until 2 pm. They said worst case they would charge us for one night fees but instead they fully charged us the full amount and they let us know about this the next day. We had to leave the island because of our son getting sick, probably because of the hotel washroom and we were charged a full 7 nights accommodation package. Absolutely unacceptable for a 4 star hotel. I would greatly appreciate a full refund even though no one reached out to us all this time.

Had the best experience. Staff were lovely from reception right through to the chefs and cleaners. Would love to come back, the kids had an absolute ball. Big variety of things to entertain the kids as well as adults, many relaxing options too.

Great hotel, great value for the money , has everything you need to stay with children, awesome pools, lots of sunbeds, entertainment. Food was absolutely fantastic and we are quite picky when it comes to food ! We had our own car and this was great location to visit everything we wanted to.

Thanks to the wonderful staff at Creta for making the stay a very pleasant one - I stayed there for 6 days - staff is very friendly and work hard at making all guests very comfortable. The room is cleaned daily and the food is very good.

The Creta Princess is a perfect destination for families. This all inclusive resort covers all your needs. The staff is friendly and they have activities all day into the night if you choose. The food is consistently good and meals alternate daily. You will be tempted to not to leave the resort but I do recommend visiting local points of interest and shops.

The best part of our stay was the pool and the water slides. The proximity to the Mediterranean Sea was great too. We did several excursions and had a wonderful time on those. The lobby staff provided us very little information and also gave us some wrong information, which was stressful.

Pros. Slides; food; entertainment Cons. Rooms a bit small; waiting time for the elevators; beach with rocks; a bit too far from Chania which is worth visiting. Overall, great place for families, especially the waterpark inside the resort.

Stayed as a family during the last week of October (final week of season as hotel was closing for summer). The food on the first day wasn’t as good as we had hoped for but definitely improved by the second day. The hotel had scaled back on food as there were so few guests remaining but what they served was really good. There was always a fish option, vegetarian selection alongside salads and meat carvery area. They also had pastas at each meal. The children’s options included pastas, local dishes, vegetables and fish fingers/chips/pizza for the fussier eaters The pool areas were very well maintained. We didn’t spend too much time in the main one as travelling with younger children. Splash park and children’s mini slide park were brilliant and felt very safe. There is also a pirate ship play area on the beach and small playground near the mini club. We didn’t use the mini club but the entertainment staff we met were very friendly and put on a brilliant mini disco every night (one of the best we’ve seen). Evening entertainment included singing, quizzes and game shows for the adults. The rooms were clean but most balconies very small and bathrooms dated. With a full family in the room it can feel a bit cramped but with such good pool areas you’re not in the rooms much. Hotel is situated ideally for trips to Chania, with a bus stop directly outside that takes straight to the town in 35 minutes. Large supermarket is 5 min walk away

Some of the most comfortable beds we have had in our travels! Staff was great, service was top notch, everyone was so friendly and helpful. My kids loved the pools and water park, the food was great, all in all a fantastic experience and we will be using Louis Hotels again in the future.

Vesipuisto ja perhehotelli samassa paketissa
Hotelli oli loistava valinta lapsiperheelle hinta/laatusuhteeltaan. Altaat ja koko allasalue olivat erittäin siistejä ja vesiliukumäet mahtavia. Ruoka iltabuffeessa ja aamiaisella oli ok ja lounaspizzat/ salaatit altailla herkullisia. Lapsia ihastutti myös yllärinä tarjoillut popparit ja hattara. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä. Vastaanoton toiminta oli ennennäkemättömän nopeaa. Ainoa pieni miinus ahtaista huoneista, tosin siellä vietetty aikakin oli vähäistä. Suosittelemme lämpimästi!

Great family trip
Hotel team were fantastic. Out of season visit so no queues for anything. Flumes were the highlight for the kids. Delicious freshly made pizza every lunch by the pool meant we never made it to the restaurant. Only draw back was no options for a larger room. Was a squeeze for 2 adults 2 kids as room sizes are all the same. Recommend staying in bungalows rather than main hotel, so close to pool/beach and pool bar! Thanks for lovely stay

Nice hotel in good location
Set in quiet Malame the hotel is ideal for exploring western Crete. Staff are excellent - nothing is too much trouble.

Good hotel with great amenities
We chose this hotel because the one we normally go to in Crete was not available and Louis Creta Princess seemed to offer the same amenities: all-inclusive, on the beach, kids pools, slides for all ages, animation. It delivered on all these but it was just a little behind the other hotel (5/5 vs. 4/5). We enjoyed our overall stay but there are some things that could be improved. Here is the detailed review. The Hotel Staff: very accommodating, friendly, helpful, absolutely no complaint, from the receptionists to the wait staff, they all went out of their way to help us. 5/5 The Rooms: we stayed on the 3rd floor, perfect sea view, small but functional room. The bathroom seemed a bit small (narrow) even for us, I am not sure how anyone larger would be able to comfortably get around. The beds were comfortable, sheets clean and of good quality. BUT; the walls are paper thin, we could here almost everything from the other room, so the sleep quality was not great. In addition, they could provide water on a daily basis, we only got one bottle for the entire week stay.4/5 The Food: we never went hungry though some nights were better than others (we enjoyed the Greek and Mexican food as well as the fish dishes and the fried calamari). The Kids corners is a great idea, too bad that it had limited healthy choices. The deserts and drinks were good, except for the frappe offered at the bar, which was pretty much coffee with ice and ice cream. 4/5 There is no more space left here...

Great Week with my Family on Louis Creta Princess
We had a very good stay (Family with 5 & 8 years old children). We asked a Garden Room alongside the swimming pool, and it was perfect for the children and the fact it is on the ground just helped even more. The Room is good enough for 4 people, but it will be too small for larger families. The Hotel has several Swimming pools and great water slides, that can easily fill out your entire stay. The Pools are very suitable for young children. The Hotel has also a very nice PlayGround for the children with daily activities, manage by lovely Ritsa. My daughter is still asking about her, few weeks after our vacation :-) The Hotel is also located in a good place, so we visited The Port of Chania (30 minutes drive), and Elafonissi Beach (1:15 Hours drive). Overall - A great Hotel We'll be recommended to my friends for sure, and hopefully, I'll be visiting once again in the future.

Great Family Holiday
Overall a very enjoyable experience, staff are very accommodating, hotel was clean, food quality high, amenities kept at a high standard. Great beachfront resort
The hotel is well equipped with charming swimming pools, sports activities - beach volley, table tennis, fitness with air-condition, soccer pitch and many water attractions for kids, e.g. water slides. The food and drinks were OK, not excellent, but on average. There is Japanese restaurant in the hotel, which was really delicious. The staff speaks English, I think Russian as well. The beach is nice, quite, not many people on the beach, sunbeds are available on the beach as near the swimming pool for free. One remark for potential improvement is the animation team, who works well with daily activities from 10am - 12am, 3pm - 5pm and 8pm - 10pm, but I felt, there were not pulled in guests into animation program. (but somebody would prefer it, do not be disturbed on sunbed). We enjoyed the hotel very much and will recommend this hotel to our friends as well.

Nice hotel close to the beach

Perfect if you go with children
the hotel great fun for kids in the age range 2 to 12 or around that, the pools and waterslides are great fun, the miniclub is good too for days with bad weather and the staff is very friendly. But i have never slept in beds as hard before. Food quality is good but after a week we were a bit tired. Drinks are locally made, and i sticked to beer. No fresh juices unless you want to pay additionally (of the all inclusive package). There are three nice beaches close, Falasarna, Elafonisis and Balos, the three very nice and better weather than the beach in Maleme. no free wifi,

Excellent for families with kids since the water facilities and other grounds are very good and provide lots of opportunities for the kids to play and to be safe at the same time. We had great time! Possitives: located in a silent small village and very quite,30 min. drive from Chania and closest port for sea trips; friedly staff ; great water slides; very good green areas; very good animation team and diverse shows in the evenings Negatives: the beach is rather stony, no wi-fi, the beach/pool towels are only changed every 3 days and you need to go every time to the reception; might be very crowded and difficult to get a sunbed during the morning hours; the hotel rooms are rather small for a family of 4 people with very narrow bathroom

Very kid-friendly resort. Great food. Nice hotel.
Food was great. Besides the breakfast, it was always something different. Very kid friendly hotel. Lots of activities for them and lots of entertainment. Staff was great. The only disappointment was the beach. Lots of rocks and huge waves.

Should try, if you have kids..
We stayed for 4 nights, were all amazing, lots of food and drinks, excellent service,evening shows, best place for kids and family,better if you have a car, but the hotel shuttle covers the whole day to the city and back wards.

Just like a Turkish prison
AWFUL rooms and bathrooms- Beds like a Turkish prison! So hard like limestone! Room small and cold-needs renovation and some sort of decor. Feels dirty and musky. Only good thing is nice pool with lots to do and good kids' club only since lady working there is so good. Management is so cheap- nickeling and diming you for everything: You have to pay BY THE MINUTE for bad internet connection-expensive!, you must pay 3.5 Euros a day for use of tiny safe, deposit to use pool towels- Air conditioner does not cool rooms well. Coarse bad linens! Feels like a 2 star hotel. I would save money and not stay in these rooms-go towards the bigger town. Staff is nice but front desk is cold and uncaring.

So so
The hotel location is good, with direct access to the sea. We only ate breakfast, which was standard continental fare, with many hot items, but lacking in fresh juices. Food and snacks were abundant in this all-inclusive. But there were no toiletries provided aside from soap on the wall. Appeared to be popular with families of little kids - a sea of them!!
