Antica Dimora Pugliese nei Pressi Dell'aeroporto e Porto di Bari con Patio Relax
8/10 Good
"It says bed and breakfast but it’s only bed no breakfast at all , In the room you have no signal at all , so can’t use the internet . However to sleep in a cave was just amazing, very clean and spacious , air con was great . In lovely little village but no shop or bar . I would definitely recommend it to anyone for one or 2 nights as it’s just beautiful. Our host Allessio was do very helpful and friendly . 9/10"
"Very warm welcome from young man in reception on arrival. Hubby very thankful for the tiny lift by reception as the staircase is rather quirky. Receptionist gave us a little tour of the ground floor, particularly to show us the little chapel.
Room was a little small, but we were only sleeping in it after all. Large wardrobe, slightly tired decoration, with key broken in lock.
Good size bathroom and shower. Towels smelt nice not usual bleach smell. No curtain or blind on the window, which was large and therefore the bathroom got extremely hot with the sun. Also meant that the bathroom was bright with streetlights at night, and when the sun came up in the early morning. Blinding when you walked into it in the early hours particularly from a dark bedroom. Just a light curtain or blind would be ideal on that window.
Air conditioning in the bedroom was effective and quiet, and can dim the operating lights on it. Coolest nights we spent anywhere in Puglia.
Breakfast was continental with large selection of sweet pastries. Nice coffee. Perhaps move the cereal spoons to the table where the cereal is. Because they are hidden under a red serviette by the pastries, people couldn’t find them and were taking the spoons from the coffee cups to eat cereal with.
This is a small, sweet hotel on a quiet residential street, with a lovely restaurant next door, and a local beach (stony) at the end, with great sunsets. Superb location for airport."
"I only stayed here for one night before an early flight, and it was sufficient for that purpose. However, I would not recommend it for sightseeing or a family stay. The accommodation is more like an Airbnb with private rooms and a shared kitchen rather than a hotel. The surrounding area is very quiet, with limited amenities—there is only a small supermarket nearby and very few restaurants or cafés within walking distance. It is convenient for a short overnight stay, but not ideal if you want to explore the city or enjoy the local area."
"This is a modest guest house some way from Bari Airport, with slightly complicated entrance arrangements, involving codes on a box at the gate and the door into the building. However, the room and shower room, though fairly basic, is clean and perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. There is a basic breakfast in the entrance to which you help yourself. The woman (owner?) who runs it, whose name is Deborah, arrived in the morning (it was a Sunday) with a box of excellent croissants to which guests were invited to help themselves. But she then provided service well over and above the call of duty, for which we were and remain enormously grateful. We were having difficulty making contact with the company from whom we were supposed to be collecting or hire car and she insisted on driving us in her pwn car to the address we had been given and all over the area in an attempt to find their office, eventually dropping us at our request back at the airport. She was under no obligation to help us in this way and she willingly and kindly devoted at least half an hour to this. Huge gratitude to Deborah, a very kind lady."
"The property was good with wonderful views of the sea and airport. Expedia website stated it was an 8 minute walk from the airport. IT IS NOT! It's around 30 with luggage, 20 if just walking fast. It is NOT a hotel but an efficiency within an apartment in an apartment block with a shared kitchen. The wifi was slow if we didn't have our door to the communal area open. It was very convenient next to another block with a fantastic supermarket. Overall good for a one night stay for an early flight, but if leaving for the airport in the dark, I suggest booking a taxi."
