"Very good, clean, free parking, and reasonable price. The only issues are the poor soundproofing in the rooms; the dog barking in the neighboring rooms is annoying at night, as is the noise from the roof ventilation systems."

"My son and I stayed there for 5 days. If you wanted to go Biodome, Insecterium, Botanical, planetarium this is the right hotel to stay. For Metro it is only 15 minutes walk to visit old Montreal, Old port Montreal. Receptionist will even explain how to get to places and give you a map. Amenities are clean. We had a very good experience staying in the hotel."

"Overall, the location was great. We had free street parking and easily found a spot directly in front of the apartment every day/night, which was very convenient for our 8-day stay. Check-in was easy, with all instructions provided ahead of time. The apartment was on the top floor with only stairs, making luggage difficult, but the parking helped. The street was quiet despite a bar nearby. There were several cleanliness and maintenance issues. The dryer kept turning off (we did manual and auto settings), and the laundry gaskets were very dirty. The floors were kind of dirty, the mattress cover was heavily stained, and the kettle needed cleaning and descaling. The kitchen had good cutlery but very limited cooking supplies. The grill pan was burnt and unusable. The oven and toaster were very dirty and caused the smoke alarm to go off every time we cooked, even when nothing was burning. There were no extra garbage/recycling bags, so we had to buy some. Only about ¼ roll of paper towel was provided, and we had just enough toilet paper. Very few cleaning supplies were available; a small vacuum, Swiffer pads or cleaner would help. Towels and laundry soap were provided, although we brought our own. The patio was nice, but only one chair and table were provided. Overall, we enjoyed the location, easy check-in, quiet street, free parking, and having laundry. The main improvements needed are cleanliness, maintenance, kitchen equipment, and adequate supplies for longer stays."

"VRBO provided the incorrect address. We spent an hour trying to access the wrong apartment using the address provided by VRBO. When we called the host he was unavailable..The rental was clean, fairly well appointed everything worked. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was excellent except the toilet was very low and there’s no grab bar which are required elements for elderly guests. We spent only one night so the cleaning fee was perhaps excessive.Based on the price would give the rental four stars if the address is corrected and a grab bar is installed by the the bathroom"

"It is a great place if you are a young solo traveller. There is a flight of 27 stairs to climb. It will be quite a challenge if you have a heavy luggage. The owner, Miguel, was very kind to offer to carry it for me. He also made my room available much earlier than the official check in time. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. You will have to bring your own shampoo, conditioner and body wash if you want to upgrade from the provided hand soap. You will also need to bring a hair dryer, which I felt was odd. It would have been nice if the hotel provided a couple of bottled water for the stay. The owner communicated well once I moved in. However, I wish the online check in process was smoother. The hotel was listed on multiple sites and responses typically took a few days. Having read the negative reviews by others, I took the initiative to contact the hotel early. It would have been nice if the owner could send out a message to lay out the timeline as soon as the booking was accepted. Please note that some of the instructions were wrong and confusing because they were site-specific eg no security deposit needed for Airbnb users with >5 good ratings."
